8 FM indoor antenna Connec t the supplied lead-t yp e FM an tenna to the F M 75Ω socket and ex tend the lead. Adjust the antenna in a s uitable loc ation like a window frame or wall which gives the bes t reception and then fix the antenna in that position with thumb tack s or the like.
9 Speak er Connection Before connect ion Check the imp edance of your speakers . Connec t speaker with an impedance of 4 Ω or more. The b lack speaker terminals are “ _ ” ( negative) . Generally, the “ + ” side of the speak er cable is marked to make it distinguishable from the “ _ ” side of the c able.

18 The provide d Remote Con trol Unit allows the unit to be operated from a distance. When op erating the remote c ontrol unit, point it towards the remot e sensor on the front panel of the unit.

24 MP3 and Windo ws Media-format ted audio files When a disc or U SB is loaded, a list of dir ec tories appears on the screen. < It may take 30 seconds or more to display the li st of f iles depending on the disc you are playing back . 1 Select a director y by pressing the 5 / b buttons and pre ss th e ENTE R but ton .
25 < Press the MENU button to switch bet ween the folder lis t and the file list. Wh en you selec t the file list , you can selec t a file without selec ting the folder. < If you want to return to the parent folder , display the folder list using the ME NU but ton, select “ .
26 Press the Pla y/Pause ( y / J ) but ton to pause audio playback. Any DVD or video CD image is frozen. Press the Pla y/Pause ( y / J ) button again to restar t playba ck . CA UT ION Do not leave play er in the pause mode for e x tended perio ds of time.
27 Selec ting Subtit les Repeated presses of the SUBTITLE b ut ton cycle through available languages in the disc. < Subtitles do not always appear imme diately after the language has been s elec ted. It may take a few seconds until the subtitles appear .

T o avoid distortion on older T Vs, you may need to change the way in which the image is displayed. T Vs use a 4:3 aspe ct ratio; high-d efinition T Vs use 1 6:9 aspec t ratio (as do movies ) .
35 DIGIT AL A UDIO SETUP (DIGIT AL OU TPU T) Y ou can se lec t the audio signal output suitable for the connec ted device when playing the digital source . OFF Selec t this when you do not use the DIGIT AL OUT or HDMI out ter mina l. No signal is output from these terminals.
36 VIDEO OUTPUT This set ting is for selec ting the output terminal of the vide o. Y ou can selec t “S-VIDEO” (S-video output) or “Y Cb/Pb Cr /Pr” (C omponent video output) . S-VIDEO Selec t this if you have connec ted the unit to your T V using S-Vide o jack .
37 HDMI SET UP AUT O (Default) Selec t this to have the signal output w hen your T V or monitor is connec ted to the HDMI out terminal. OFF Selec t this when you do not use the HDMI out terminal.
38 PA S S W O R D M O D E Y ou can tempor arily unlock discs for playba ck acc ording to the level. T o change this set ting, selec t ON or OFF , enter your password, and press the ENTER but ton. ON Y ou ne ed a pass word to change the level of paren tal control.
