1 Contents EN This manual applies to se veral TV set models. Some featur es ma y not be a vailable on the model you pur chased. Refer to the f eatur e table pro vided with this manual to find out the main f eatur es of the rele vant model.
2 Getting star ted EN Impor tant information Safety Ensure that y our domestic mains supply v oltage matches the vo ltage indicated on the identification sticker located at the back of y our set. This TV set is a class 1 appliance . It m ust be connected to an electrical wall sock et with an earth .
3 Getting star ted EN Switching on F ollow the instructions on this page on ho w to switch on y our TV set and the remote control bef ore g oing on to following pages describing how to use the r emote contr ol and the channel set-up procedur e. 1. Insert two LR03 / AAA or LR06/ AA batteries in the remote contr ol (depending on the model).
Getting star ted 4 EN Using the r emote contr ol for other equipment This remote contr ol can be used to contr ol other appliances using the programmable buttons VCR , DV D , SA T , AMP and AUX .
5 Getting star ted EN Manual pr ogramming This method inv olves car r ying out a manual sear ch for the codes to be used for contr olling your other a ppliances.
6 Channel set-up EN Initial set-up Initial set-up inv olves selecting all the settings r equired to be able to sear ch for and stor e all the channels you can r eceive. Mak e sure that the tele vision is switched on and follo w all the steps in turn specified hereafter .
7 Channel set-up EN Manual channel set-up F ollow the pr ocedur e given on this page if y ou find that some channels ha ve not been stored during the initial set-up . This can happen if y ou are setting up cable netw ork channels. Setting up channels manually r equires e very setting for a particular channel to be entered, one at a time .
8 Gener al oper ation EN Switching the TV set on and off To s witch the TV set on: - pr ess the button on the side of the TV set, the or any n umeric button on the remote contr ol, or - press the .
9 Gener al oper ation EN Zoom In TV mode , you ha v e the option of changing the displa y format and using the zoom function via the buttons. The a vailable formats and zoom functions are: 4/3 format .
10 Ad v anced functions EN Adjusting the sound Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Sound option and press OK to confirm. The Sound menu appears with the following options: T one contr ol : this option gives y ou access to the T one contr ol menu (more details below).
11 Ad v anced functions EN In ev er y other instance, the menu displa yed off ers the following options: Bass , Tr e b l e :y ou can adjust these settings to the le v el you want using the buttons. Press EXIT to close the menu. T o return to the Sound men u, select Return and press OK to confirm.
Ad v anced functions 12 EN In PC mode you can access a n umber of specific functions: Auto-adjustment : this option allows y ou to automatically adjust the following functions: Phase , Clock , Ve r tical position and Horizontal position .P r ess OK until the message Running a ppears.
13 Ad v anced functions EN Setting the time The Time menu allows y ou to set the time and date on y our TV set, to programme an automatic turn-off or wak e-up timer and to view the calendar . Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Time option and press OK to confirm.
Ad v anced functions 14 EN Pr ogramming the wak e-up timer This function can be used to set the time for the set to come on, for instance , for the television to wak e y ou up. 1. Select the Wa k e-up timer option. Using the numeric buttons or buttons, choose Once or Daily from the list to activate this function and access the r elevant options.
15 Ad v anced functions EN Locking a channel or A V pr ogramme 1. Select the Select channel option from the Par ental control menu. Use the or numeric buttons to select the channel to be lock ed. Use the buttons or press the AV button to access the A V programmes.

Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Installation option and confirm by pr essing OK .
17 Ad v anced functions EN Configuring A V sockets Y ou can configure y our TV set according to the equipment you connect to it. Displa y the O VER VIEW menu by pressing the MENU button. Select the Installation option and press OK to confirm. The Installation menu appears.
Ad v anced functions 18 EN Pla ying files from memory cards Insert a card in the rele vant connector or plug the USB card r eader into the rele vant sock et on the side of the TV set. If necessar y , display the O VER VIEW menu by pr essing the MENU button.
19 Ad v anced functions EN T eletext The T eletext ser vice is available in man y countries under a variety of names (T OP T ext, Fastext, FLOF text, Videotext).
20 Other informa tion EN Sock ets A V1 SCAR T socket (input-output) at the back This sock et can be used to connect a range of equipment, including video recor ders, camcorders (VHS, S-VHS, 8 mm or Hi 8 format), decoders, satellite receiv ers, D VD pla y ers, games consoles or devices pr oducing an RGB signal.
