9 English Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector.
10 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 Ensure that the power co rd and sig nal cable ar e securely connected. The Power LED will ligh t red. 2 Turn on the projector by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
11 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press power button again to complete the shutdown process" Press the power button again. 2 The LED Power indicator will turn solid red to indicate standby mode.
12 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with two elevator feet for adjusting the image height. To raise the imag e: 1 Use the front Tilt adju sting wheel to raise th e image to the desired height and angle .
13 English How to Optimize Image Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 72" and 79".
14 English • X1340W/P1340W If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 84" and 93". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 142 cm height is required when the projector is located at 3 m distance.
15 English • H6510BD If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 91" and 118". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 189 cm height is required when the projector is located at 3 m distance.
16 English How to Get a Preferred Image Size by Adjusting Distance and Zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. • X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240 To obtain an image size of 70", set the projector at a distance b etween 2.
17 English • X1340W/P1340W To obtain an image size of 70" set the projector at a distance b etween 2.3 m and 2.5 m from the screen and adjust the zoo m level accordingly.
18 English • H6510BD To obtain an image size of 70" set the projector at a distance b etween 1.8 m and 2.3 m from the screen and adjust the zoo m level accordingly. 19 English User Controls Installation Menu The Installation menu provides an On screen Display (O SD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OSD on ly when the message "No signal" is displayed on the screen. 1 Turn on the pro jector by pressing (P OWER) on the control panel or remote control.
20 English Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empowering Key provides four Acer unique functions: "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Management", "Acer ePower Management" and "Acer e3D Management".
21 English Acer eTimer Management Press " " to launch "Acer eTimer Management". "Acer eTimer Management" provides the reminding function for presentation time control. Please refer to the "Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus" section for more details.
22 English Acer e3D Mana gement Press " " to launch "Acer e3D Management". "Acer e3D Management" pro vides you one shortcut to adjust 3D settings. Please refer to the "Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus" section for more details.
23 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multilin gual Onscreen Display (OSD) menus th at allow you to make i mage adjustments an d change a variety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
24 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: For br ightness optimization . • Presentation (X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240/X1340W/ P1340W): For meeting presentation with higher brightness .
25 English • Game: For game content. • Education (X111/X1140/X1140A/X1240/X1340W/ P1340W): For education environm ent. • Sport (H6510BD): For sport picture. • User: Memorize user’s settings. Wall Color Use this function to choose a proper co lor ac cording to the wall.
26 English Note: "Saturation", "Tint" and "Advan ced" f unctions are not suppo rted under computer mode. Advanced (H6510BD) • Ind. Color Manageme nt: Adjusts the red, green, blu e, cyan, yellow and magenta colors. • - Ind.
27 English Image Projection (X111/X1140/ H6510BD) • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceiling: When you select this function , the projector inverts the image for ceiling-m ounted projection . • Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.
28 English Projection Location (X1140A/X1240/ X1340W/ P1340W) • Auto: Automatically adjusts projection location of image. • Desktop • Ceiling: Turns the image upside down for ceiling- mounted proj ection. Aspect Ratio Use this function to choose your desired aspect ratio.
29 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and " Tracking" functions are not supported under vi deo mode.
30 English Setting Startup Screen (P1340W/ H6510BD) Use this function to select your desired startup screen. If you change the setting, it will take effect when you exit the OSD menu. • Acer: The default startup screen of your Acer projector. • User: Use the memorized picture from the "Screen Capture" function.
31 English Screen Capture (P1340W/ H6510BD) Use this function to customize the startup screen. To capture the image that you want to us e as the startup screen, follow the instructions below.
32 English Security Security This projector provides a usef ul sec urity function for the administrator to manage the projector. Press to change the "Security" setting. If the security function is enabled, your must enter "Administrator Password" first before changing the security setting.
33 English Administrator Password You can enter "Administrator Password" when the "Enter Administrator Password" or "Enter Password" dialogue box displays. • Press to change "Administrator Password". • The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
34 English Management ECO Mode Choose "On" to dim the pro jector lamp, which will also lower the power consum ption, reduce noise, and extend the lamp life. Choose "Off" to return to the normal mode. High Altitude Choose "On" to turn on th e High Altitude mod e.
35 English Audio (X1140A/X1240/X1340W/P1340W/ H6510BD) Volume • Press to decrease the volume. • Press to increase the volume. Mute • Choose "On" to turn mute on. • Choose "Off" to turn mute off. Power On/Off Volume (H6510BD) Select this function to adju st the notifica tion volume when turning the projector on/off.
36 English 3D 3D Selects "On" to enable the 3D function supported by DLP 3D technology. • On: Select this item while using DLP 3D glasses, quad buffer (NVIDIA/ATI...) graphics ca rd and HQFS format file or DVD with correspondin g SW player.
37 English Note: Supported 3D signal timings: It needs correct settings on grap hics card 3D application program for correct 3D display. 2D to 3D (H6510BD) • 2D to 3D: Converts 2D contents to 3D. Note that DLP 3D glasses are required to obtain the best 3D effect.

41 English Problems with the Projector 9 Image is too sma ll or too large • Adjust the zoom lever on the top of the projector. • Move the projector closer to or further from the screen. • Press "MENU" on the control panel or remote control.

44 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, an d then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full powe r operation.
45 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structur ally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
46 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
