Safety instructions 2 1. Safety and operating instructions THIS MANUAL FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE APPLI ANCE: IT MUST ALWAYS BE KEPT INTACT TOGETHER WITH THE DISHWASHER. BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE, CAREFULL Y READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL.
Safety instructions 3 OBSOLETE APPLIANCES MUST BE RENDERED UNUSABLE. CUT OFF THE MAINS POWER CORD AFTER UNPLU GGING IT FROM THE WALL OUTLET, AND MAKE SAFE ANY COMPONENTS WHICH MIGHT BE DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN (LOCKS, DOORS, ETC.
Safety instructions 4 LEANING OR SITTING ON THE DISHW A S HER DOOR WHEN OPEN M A Y CAUSE THE APPLIANCE TO OVERTURN, PUTING PEOPLE AT RISK. NEVER LEAVE THE DISHWASHER DOOR OPEN; PEOPLE MIGHT TRIP OVER IT.
Installation instructions 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY Connect the intake hose to a cold water supply with ¾” gas thread, inserting the filter A supplied w it h the dishwasher. Take care to screw the hose firmly into place with your h ands and then complete b y tightening about ¼ of a turn with pliers.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 9 3. Description of the controls 3.1 Upper panel All the dishwasher controls are gr ou ped on the upper panel. Switch-on, programming, switch-off etc. procedur es are onl y possible when the door is open. 1 ON/OFF BUTTO N Pressing this button energises the appliance.
User instructions 10 6 "3/1" OPTION BUTTON (on some models onl y) Press this button to activate t he option for use of 3/1 products. 7 "3/1" OPTION LIGHT (on some models only) Illuminates to indicate that the function is activated.
User instructions 11 After using the table to identify the most appr opriate washing program: • press the ON/OFF button (1) and wait for the PROGR A M INDICATOR LIGHT (2) to illuminate; • keep pre.
User instructions 12 3.2 Washing programs Before starting a washing program make sure that: • The water supply tap is open. • The correct amount of detergent has been added to the dispenser . • The baskets have been correctly lo aded. • The spray arms are abl e to rotate freely and without obstruction.
User instructions 13 CANCELLING THE CURRENT PROGRAM • To cancel the currentl y sele cted program, open the door and hol d down the PROGRAM SELECTION (3) button for a few seconds until the indicator lights for programs 4 and 5 illuminate simultaneously (the word "end" is displ ayed on the window).
User instructions 14 If the door has to be opened while washing is in progress, the progr am will be interrupted. The relativ e light will keep flashing and a bee per will signal that the cycle has not been co mpleted. You must wait about 1 minute before closing the door to re start the program.
User instructions 15 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deterge nt.
User instructions 16 • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r ege nerating salt container before starting the washing progra m .

User instructions 18 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 19 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 20 • "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rinse aid, check whether your dis hwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then ref er to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 21 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 22 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 12 place-settings , including servin g dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 23 LOADING THE LOWER BA SKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert and serving dishes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers m ust be loaded upside down. When l oading soup plates and dess ert bowls, be sure to leave a gap bet w e en them.
User instructions 24 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medium-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shall ow bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.
User instructions 25 Depending on the mode ls, the basket may be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 26 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA S KET The height of the top b asket can be adjusted to al low large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure ma y be type A or B , depe nding on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 27 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pole disconnection device. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 28 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to peri odically inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlock.
User instructions 29 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supp ly tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
User instructions 30 If the dishes fail to dry or remain dull, check that: • there is rinse aid inside the special c ontainer; • the rinse aid dispenser setting is correct; • the detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, throu gh incorre ct storage, with the box left open).
User instructions 31 6. T roubleshooting The dishwasher is abl e to indicate a series of malfunctions by illuminating a n umber of lights simultaneously (see k ey below); the letter “E” also appears on the display in the event of a malfunctio n.
