7. 6. Removing Lodged T oast If a piece of toast becomes lodged in the T oaster , unplug the T oaster and allow to cool. Hold the T oasting Lever down. T urn the T oaster upside down and shake the toast loose. IMPORT ANT: Never use a fork or sharp-edged utensil to remove toast, because that may damage the heating element or cause injury .
