2 EN CA UTION . • Securely lay the drain hose for the best draining results. • Incorrect drainage can cause floodin g in the house and fur niture to get wet. • Be sure to connect the air conditioner to a dedicated power supply having the rated v oltage.

6 EN Setting the cloc k Bef ore you star t operating the air conditioner, set the cloc k of the remote co ntrol using the procedures given in this section. The cloc k panel on the remote control will indi cate the time regardless of whether the air con ditioner is in use or not.

8 EN When you set the air condi tioner to A UT O mode, it automatically selects cooling, he ating, or fan only operation depending on th e room temper ature. ( ) see page 16.) 10 EN During air conditioner operatio n a P AP b utton Pressing this button star ts Plasma Air Purifyin g (P AP) ope ration. • The PLASMA indicator (blue) on the displa y panel of the indoor unit tur ns on. • Plasma pure filter and air ionizer are activated.

12 EN Combined timer (Setting the ON and OFF timers sim ultaneously) OFF timer —> ON timer (Operation —> Stop —> Opera tion) This feature is useful when you want to stop the air conditioner after you go to sleep, and start it ag ain in the mor ning when you wake up or you return home.

14 EN • Adjust the air flow direction proper ly . F a ilure to do so could cause discomfor t and make an une ven room temperature distribution. • Adjust the v er tical air flow using the remote control. • Adjust the horizontal air flow manually .

16 EN A utomatic Operation As shown in Figure 1, A utomatic Operation mode selects the operation based on the room temperature data (T a) when operation begins. The operation mode is selected again afte r the compressor has remained stopped for 15 minutes .

18 EN Cleaning of indoor unit and remote contr ol When not using the unit f or at least 1 month (1) P erform fan operation f or three to four hours to dr y the insi de of the unit. • If a high temperature setting is used with cooling operation, fan operation is perf or med.

20 EN Attaching the Zeolite-plus filter and Zeolite-3G filter • After installing the air conditione r , attach the supplied Zeolite-plus filter and Zeolite-3G filte r . Preparation: 1. T ur n off the air conditi oner using the remote control. 1 Open the air inlet gr ille.
21 ENGLISH FRANÇAIS DEUTSCH IT ALIANO ESP AÑOL NEDERLANDS PORTUGUÊS ǼȁȁǾȃǿȀǾ EN Cleaning the air ionizer • Clean the air ionizer when you clean the dust collecting unit. (Clean appro ximately once e very six months .) Preparation: 1. T ur n off the air conditi oner using the remote control.
22 EN 4 W ash and then dr y . (1) Soak in ho t water at 40 to 50°C f or about 10 to 15 minutes. If the staining is par ticularly se vere, use a w ashing detergent comp ound (weak basic or neutral) at 10 to 15 times the standard concentration. (2) Rub up and down, and rub left and righ t.

24 EN TR OUBLESHOO TING CA UTION If any of the f ollowing conditions occur , stop the air conditioner immediately , tur n off the main power s w itch and contact the dealer . • The indicators flash at shor t inter vals (5 Hz). Reset the circuit breaker 2 to 3 minutes after the power main s wi tch is tur ned off.

Condensation forms on th e back of the indoor unit. • Condensation on the back of the indoor unit is automatically collected and drained out.
26 EN Bef ore asking for servicing or re pairs, check the following points . These are not defects. The FIL TER indicator turns on. • This indicator tur ns on after P AP operation has been performed f or approximately 1000 hours. • The indicator may turn on if the front panel is not firmly closed.
