C ONTENTS About This Installation Guide This guide i s des igned t o familiarize you with the ge neral layout of th e E AP1 10 , E AP12 0 and E AP220, describ e how to p er form t he hardware in st allation, and how to conf igure t he E AP C ontrolle r sof t ware in your ne t work.

Inter face P anel ■ E A P11 0 ARROW 1 RESET ETHERNET ■ EAP1 20 / EAP2 20 ARROW 1 RESET CONSOLE ETHERNET ON/OFF POWER Please note that EAP110 does not have the CONSOLE port, POWER port or ON/OFF button. The interface panel components of the EAP , from left to right, are described in the following list.
04 ON / OFF Press this button to turn on/off the EAP120/EAP220. POW ER The power port is used to connect the EAP120/EAP220 to an electrical wall outlet via power adapter . Ple ase only use the provided power adapter . Refer to next chapter 4.Power Supply to learn how to power the EAP120/EAP220 via power adapter .

06 3. Installation ■ Ceiling Mounting Not e: ■ Make sure the t hick nes s of the c eiling is le ss t han 18mm and the ce iling can b ear at lea st f ive kilo grams. ■ It is NOT recommended to mou nt the EAP on a lo w-strength material, suc h as gyp sum ceiling p anel.
07 3. U se a drill with the ap propr iate size drill bit to drill three 4mm h oles f or the pan -head s crew s, and drill a 1 0mm hol e for the E ther net c able to fe ed through .

09 7. Feed t he Ethe rne t cabl e throu gh the hol e and se t the ce iling tile ba ck into place. 8. 14 Q&A Q1. What is the maximum cable length between the EAP110 and the provided PoE adapter? 100 meters. The quality of the Ethernet cable may influen ce the reception of the power supply . Q2. Could the EAP work as a standalone device if it had been adopted by the EAP Controller? No.
