It requires very little mainten ance and does not re quire the fre eze prote c tion a nd water treatmen t that is necessary with a w ater -cooled co ndenser .
TRG-TR C0 05-EN 7 peri od t w o Condensers note s An alternative air -c ooled conde nser uses a centrifug al fan to draw or bl ow air over th e condensing coil . The principa l advantage of this d esign is that the centrifug al fan is capab le of ov ercoming the highe r static-pres sure losses associ ated wi th ductwork.
