What the symbols mean Batteri es charge l evel Whenever this shows ‘nearl y empt y’ ( ), put the ha ndset on the bas e unit to charge the batteries . While the batte rie s are be ing charged, th e level s hown will keep c hanging . Outside c all You are connected to an outside call.

Setti ng up your te le p hone Connec tion and c onditions for use You can connect your phone to a direct exchange line (DEL), a line connected to a local exchange, with its own phone number; to an exte ns ion socket connected to a DEL; o r to an extension on an approved compatible PBX.
Inst all ation 1. Choose a suitab le sit e for the handset unit Make sure it is not near to anothe r telephone, nor to other electrical equipment. 2. P lug t he mains power lead into the p ow e r jac k on the bas e unit and plug the teleph on e li n e cord into the telephone po rt.
Impor ta nt safe t y infor mat ion This equipment is not designed for making emer genc y calls in the eve nt of a power failure. Alternative arr angements s hould be made f or access to emergency services.
Making a nd answe ri ng calls To switch t h e hand set O N or O FF Press and hold the CLEAR button f or 2~3 seconds to s witch the handset ON /OFF. To make a cal l 1. Key in the telephone number (I f you make a mistake, press CLEAR button to clear digits from the dis play.
To s t ore new num ber into phonebook 1. Pr e ss t h e OK button, the dis play shows ADD 2. Pr e ss t h e OK button again, then key in the name and the number 3. Pr e ss t h e OK button to confirm 4. Pr ess the CLEAR button twice to retu rn to standby mode, or you can continue to store number.
2. Pr ess the OK button , then pres s UP/DOWN button to the locations MISS ED, RECEI VED , or D IALED calls . 3. Pr e ss t h e OK button, then pre ss UP/DOWN butto n to scroll the records To save a number in call logs When you received a new number, you want to sto r e in phonebook.

1. Disconnect the power lead from t he back of the ba se unit 2. Press and hold the HANDSET LOCATOR butto n in the bas e unit, at the s ame time connect the power lead i nto the back of base unit. Rel ease the LOCATOR button after you hear “beep” sound for five times.
Intercom an d transf er To make an int ercom call 1. Pr e ss t h e IN T button 2. Key in the numbe r of the other handset On the other hands et's display, your number appea r s, and the INT symbol f lashes. T hen the other handset user presses the CALL button to c onnect the c all.
Check the batteri es level symbol on the display. If it is low, replace the handset on the bas e unit or charger pod to rechar ge the batteries. Switch off power at the mains socket, wait for a few seconds and then s witch back on. This may solve the problem.
You need to subscribe to the Caller Display feature from your se rvice provider. The caller may have withhe ld their numbe r, or they may be calling f rom a network that does not trans mit the Caller ID (for exa mple, it may be an international c all).
