Recommended Fuse Rating f o r M A 4100 i s 1 0 0 Amps Y ou will need to install an in-line fuse or circuit breaker in the po wer wire within 18” of the battery . This fuse or cir cuit breaker protects y our vehic le from fire in case the po wer wire shor ts to the vehic le body .
W arning! Y ou can mount the MA4100 in any position, even upside-down. However , yo u must maintain pr oper airflo w . Do not install your MA4100 under carpets or enclose it behind airtight panels. In trunk-mounted applications, be sure to provide venting for air circulation.
W arning! T o prevent a short to ground, disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the system’s battery before you begin. If the power cable shorts to ground, current will continue to flow until the short is opened, the main fuse blows, the battery explodes, or the wire melts.
Follow these simple instructions and ref er to the diagram belo w to make y our speaker connections: • Using at least 16 gauge wire, run wire from the speakers to the amplifier(s) using the same p.
Y ou can operate each pair of channels in both stereo and mono (3 channel or tri- mode) at the same time by using highpass filters (bass blockers) on the higher frequency stereo channels, and a lowpass filter (coil) on the subwoofers.
Input Jac ks The MA4100 includes both RCA and Mini-Din (balanced) inputs. The supplied RCA connections allow you to use the MA4100 with other brands of audio gear . Our Diff erential RCA inputs provide a dramatic impro v ement in noise reduction ov er standard RCA input types.
Input Gain Contr ols There are two Input Gain Controls located on the end panel under the RCA input jacks. These are not v olume controls! These controls match the output signal voltage of the source unit to the amplifier inputs.
