User’s Guide 10 N O S PEAKER S OUND If you don’t hear an y sound, check the following: Check that the speak ers are tur ned on. Make s ure you’re not using passive speake rs that requir e an amplifier. The Riviera analog outputs can only drive powered speakers, not passive speak ers.

User’s Guide 12 Enable the Environments in the Equalizer Tab and select an Environment from the pull-down menu. This sends the stereo si gn al proce ssed by reverb to the surround spe akers. You can adjust the amount of th is effect with the Su rround speake r volume controls in the Speaker Tab.

You can launch the control panel from the Turtle Beach palm tree icon located on the right si de of the Windows Start menu o r by clicking Start Æ All Programs Æ Turtle Beach Æ Ri viera Æ Run Riviera Control Panel.
User’s Guide 16 U SING THE C ONTROL P ANE L P RESETS S AVING AND R ESTORING P RESETS The Control Panel lets you save the Tab settings as pres ets for easy recall. Once you’ve set th e controls f or a pa rticular configuration, cli ck on the Preset button, th en click Save to call up the Save Preset dialog.
WWW . TURTLEBEACH . COM 17 Riviera S PEAKERS T AB The Speakers Tab is divided into the following sections: “Speaker Configuration” lets you test speaker oper ation and select speaker conf iguration modes. “Volume” sets the master vol ume and individual speaker volumes.

User’s Guide 20 V OLUME S ECTION Master Volume: Controls the volume of all speakers. Pan : Controls L/R balance. Mute: Mutes all outputs when lit. I NDIVIDUAL S PEAKER V OL UMES The volume controls for each speak er in the selected confi guration are located to the right of the Master Vol u me slider.
WWW . TURTLEBEACH . COM 21 Riviera The S/PDIF Pull-down menu lets you select th e following S/PDIF outpu t modes: S/PDIF Out Off: S/PDIF output is turned off, so there is no digital signal. Note that whenever S /PDIF is turned on , a red light will be emitted from the S/PD I F output on the rear bracket.
User’s Guide 22 G RAPHIC E QU ALIZER T AB G RAPHIC E QUALIZER The Graphic Equalizer provides 10 fr equency bands that can be boost or cut to tailo r the system frequency response, or tone. Two rows of buttons at the top of th e slider bank provides quick access to eigh t equalizer presets.
