Connect the base unit 1) Connect th e AC ad apter to the DC IN 9V jack and to a stan dar d 120V AC wall outlet. 2) Set the base on a d esk or tabletop, and place th e handset on th e base unit as shown. Rem ove the beltclip, if attached , for f ace up chargin g.
[ 10 ] • After installin g the battery pack in th e handset, char ge your han dset at least 15-20 hours bef ore plugging into the phone line . Once th e handset battery pack is fully char ged , connect th e telephon e line cor d to the base an d telephon e wall outlet.
[ 11 ] GETTING ST ARTED Mounting the base unit on a wall Setting the handset retainer clip f or wall mounting 1) On the base unit, pull th e handset r etainer out o f the slot. Rotate it clockwise 180 d egrees . 2) Flip the r etainer fr om fron t to back.
GETTING ST ARTED [ 12 ] Direct w all plate mounting If you don’t have a stan dar d wall plate , you can moun t your phon e directly to th e wall. Befor e doin g this, consi der th e followin g: • Avoi d electrical cables , pipes, or oth er items behin d the moun ting locati on that could cause a hazard wh en insertin g screws in to the wall.

With each press o f a num eric k ey , the displayed character appears in th e followin g ord er: Upper case letters first, lower case letters ne xt and finally th e number corr espondin g to the k ey .
