[27] GETTING START ED www.uniden.com Setting the Ar ea Code If you e nter a 3-digit area code n umber in th e "Area Code" option, yo ur local area code d oes not appear in the Caller ID messag e . Wh en calls are received fro m outside your local area code , you will see a full 10-digit number .
GETTING S TARTED [ 28] www.uniden.com Setting the Dial Mode Dial Mod e sets the dial mode to tone or pulse. Most phon e systems use tone dialing; the def ault setting is tone dialin g. Set the dialin g mod e to match the di aling system us ed by your lo cal phone service .
