Place a handset in the r oom you wish to monitor; it will fun cti on as a micr ophon e. A second han dset can be set to function as a remote speaker , allowing you to moni tor sounds in the ro om .

GETTING S TARTED [ 25] www.uniden.com Global Setup If you change on e o f the global settings , you chang e that setting f or all registered handsets. Only on e handset can change global settings at a time . Setting Day and Time Day & Ti me sets the d ay and time of your display .
[26] GETTING START ED www.uniden.com Setting CIDCW (Cal ler ID on Call W aiting) Caller ID on Call W aiting (CIDCW) di splays the nam e and number of an incoming call while yo u are on the line . Call Waiting Deluxe (CWDX) allo ws you to ha ndle call waitin g calls in seven differ en t w ays.
GETTING S TARTED [ 27] www.uniden.com Setting the Dial Mode Sets the dial mod e to tone or puls e . Most phon e systems use tone dialing; the def ault setting is tone dialin g. Set the dialin g mode to m atch the dialin g system used by your local phone service .
[28] GETTING START ED www.uniden.com De-r egister the H andset Deregister HS clears the han dset’s ID from the m ain base unit o r the base ID from the handset. Y ou will usually on ly der egister the handset if you are having a problem with your phone or if you need to change the di gital se curity code .

Earpiece and Speaker V olume Y o u can select fr om among si x volume levels on the handset.

If you pass the r ang e limits of th e base unit, you will hear a beep and see Out o f Range on th e display , and th en th e han dset return s to standby m od e .
