P age 2 MX-980 O WNERS M ANU AL Optional RF “No Rules” Oper ation In combination with an MSC-400 Master System Controller , or an RF Base Station, the MX-980 can control your system without being in line-of-sight of the equipment.
P age 3 MX-980 O WNERS M ANU AL Connecting the Batter y P ack Open the battery cov er by depressing the release and pulling back the co ver on the back of the control. Remo ve the cov er . Observe the three contacts for the battery at the bottom left of the battery compartment.
P age 4 MX-980 O WNERS M ANU AL Using the Charging Base Plug the 5V DC adapter into a power outlet and into the bac k of the charging base. Gently place the MX-980 into the cradle of the c harging base. T he Status light should immediately light. Red indicates that it is charging.

When you w ant to watc h some- thing else (a D VD movie, a videotape or an HDTV broadcast), sim- ply press the W A TCH button and select the new acti vity .

Belo w the title, the LCD dis- pla ys the customized names of any special features y ou need for the activity .

T he longer your screen is lit, the more frequently you’ll need to c harge the MX-980. SOUND - Adjust the volume of the sounds your MX-980 makes w hen you press buttons.
