2 Y our phone and accessories Y our Galaxy™ Ne xus™ phone comes with a number of accessories, including a headset and wall/USB charger . For safety r easons, the ba ttery is not shipped inside the pho ne, so you need t o insert it and charge it fully befor e using your phone.

4 4G L TE SIM card Y our phone uses a 4G L TE SIM ( Subscriber Identity Module ). The 4G L TE SIM is a small, rec tangular plastic card that st ores your phone number , information about your wireless service, and other information such as messages and contacts.

6 Bef ore y ou use the phone, insert the batt ery and charge it fully . (See “Inserting the 4G L TE SIM card and battery” on page 7 and “Charging your phone ” on page 13.) Other sections in this chapter describe the use and f unction of the headset, turning the phone on and off , and more.
7 Inserting the 4G L TE SIM card and batt ery T o install or re place the battery or 4G L TE SIM card, you mus t remov e the phone ’ s back co ver . Y ou must insert the battery and 4G L TE SIM card before y ou can use the phone.
8 Replace the phone ’ s back co ver S T o replace the battery cover , align the tabs, then press down on the bottom and top of the batt ery cove r . Con tinue to press the edges of the cov er until the cover snaps int o place.
9 Insert or remo v e a 4G L TE SIM card Y ou must r emov e the phone ’ s back cov er and r emov e the batt ery to inse rt or re move the 4G L TE SIM card.

11 Insert the battery Y ou must open the phone ’ s back cover to insert the batter y . 1 Remove th e bac k cover . See “Remov e the phone’ s back cover” on page 7. 2 Align the gold contacts on the ba tt ery with the gold contacts on t he phone, then gently pr ess the battery in to place .
12 Remo v e the battery Y ou must open the phone ’ s back cover to remo ve the battery . If the phone is on, turn i t off bef or e remo ving the battery . 1 T urn off the phone. See “T urning the phone on and off” on page 15. 2 Rem ove t h e b ac k c ove r .
13 Charging y our phone Bef ore yo u can use your phone , you mus t charge it fully . In addit ion to chargin g from an AC outlet, th e phone al so charges w hen it i s connected to a computer’s USB port with the included USB cable. 14 3 Plug the Charging Head into a standard AC power outlet. Warning! Please use only an appr ov ed charging accessory t o charge your phone . Improper handling of the char g- ing port, or use of an incompatible charger , may cause damage to your phone and void the warranty .
15 T urning the phone on and off It’ s important t o fully charge the batt ery bef ore turning on y our phone. Use the Power/Lock Key on the top right side o f your p hone to t urn the phone o n and off . T urn on the phone S Press and hold the Power/Lock Key .
