5 Quick Look at Y our Camera.
6 Prep are Y our Camera for use Inst all batteries Y our camera requires three A AA batteries (alkaline batteries recommend ed ). Please refer to the following instal lation instructio ns : 1. Open the battery compartment on the side of the camera. 2.
7 W ARNING: U nless you are using an S D memory card, opening the battery compar tment and removing the battery will erase the test photo currently stored in the camera. Dow nload your photo as often as po ssible. The te st pho to will be lost when t he camera sw itch es -off or w hen the ba tt eries run low .
8 Locate the SD me m ory card slot o n the botto m of the camera and insert an SD me mory card a s above. Y ou w ill feel and hear a “ Click ” sound. W hen the icon appears on the LCD screen thi s indicates that your SD card is installed correctly .
9 St arting Y our Digit al Cam era Power on Press the Power button once to turn on your cam era. The LCD will light up and the c amera will emit a “ beep ” to indicate that yo ur camera is turned on and ready for use. Power off Press the Power button once t o turn off your camera.
10 The Camera mode is for you to take still photos. Y ou can shoot video files while in Video mode . In Playback mode you can preview the photos /videos you captured , rotate, prote ct, delete, crop and pr int your photos.

13 Camera mode Set the mode switch to Camera Mode – the icon w ill appear on the top right corner of the LCD screen. T aking Photos 1. Hold the ca m era steady and compose your objec t as appear s in the LCD screen. 2. Press the Shu tt er button an d wait a moment for the photo to be take n and saved to me m ory .
14 Macro/Far shooting The camera has the function that allows you to capture objects at very near (macro) or very far distances per your request. 1. Slide the Macro/ Far switch on the left side of the camera up to the position. 2. The icon will appear on the left hand side of the LCD screen and indicates tha t the macro shooting is on.
15 Note: A “ No Power ” m essage will appear on the LCD screen, if you select the flash f unction when the bat tery power is insuf ficient. T o continue using the camera w ith the flash, please ins tall new batterie s.
16 2. From the “This Image” or “This Video” message t hat appears, p ress Left/Right button to select “ Y es ” . 3. Press the Menu/OK button t o confirm and for the selec ted image to be deleted. At step 2, if you do not wish to delete the photo select “ No ” by p ressing the Up/Dow n button, t hen pr ess the Menu/OK but ton.
17 Camera mode – Menu setting options T o access the Menu s etting options for the Camera mode pres s the Menu button in the center of th e Menu dial. 4 menu options each with their own sub menus will appear: Scene, Image Size, A nti-Shake and Setup 1.
18 3. Press the Up/Down button to select t he best scenery per your light condition and environment. A uto, Night Portrait, Night Scenery , Portrait , Scenery , Sport, P arty , Beach or High Sensitivity . 4. Press the Men u/OK button to confi rm your selection and ex it to standb y mode.
19 Anti-Shake Y our Digital Camera has a function that prevent s ph otos coming out blurry as a result of trembling or shaking when taking the photo. Because of this f unction , you are not required to use a tripod to shoot steady pho tos. T o set a s below : 1.
20 2. Press the Right/Le ft button until yo u select the Se tup menu. Exposure This setting allow s you to con trol the brightness of your images. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Ex posure option in the Setu p menu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button to open the Ex posure submenu.
21 ISO This setting allow s you to select the ISO setting that you want as per y our current conditions. 1. Press Up/Dow n button to select the I SO option in the Setup menu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button. 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to choo se the ISO option from the ISO submenu that appears : Auto / 100 / 200 / 400 4.
22 Sharpness This setting allow s you to adjust the sharpnes s of your images, making edges more or less distinct. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Shar pness option in Setup m enu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button. 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select a sharpness value.
23 Quality The quality settings determine the number of photos and the am ount of memory required for ea ch photo. The better the qu ality , the more memory ea ch photo will use. The quality will al so affect the m axi m um size you can print your photo effectively .
24 Date T his allow s you to set the system ti m e which w ill be display on the pho tos if you selected date on. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Da te opti on in the Setup me nu.
25 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to set the digit s for each of the date, time and format options. 4. Press the Men u/OK button to confi rm and exit. Auto Power O ff By default your ca mera will automatically pow er off if id le for 60 seconds. Use this option to chang e the time.
26 Language Y our Digital Ca m era support s 9 languages. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Langu age option in the Setup menu. 2. Press the Me nu/OK button . 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the lan guage of your choice: English / Portugues e / Spanish / Fre nch / German / I talian / Russian / Dutch and Turk ish 4.
27 Format This function refor m ats the memory card and will erase all files in memory including files that have been protected, plea se operate cautiously . 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the For mat option in the Setup m enu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button.
28 Default Setting If you are not sure as to wh at settings have been activated on your camera you can rese t the camera to the or iginal factory settings. 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the De fault setting option in the Setup menu. 2. Press the Menu /OK button.
29 Video Mode Move the mode switch to the center to a ctivate the Video m ode . The icon will appear on the top l eft corner of the LCD screen. 1. Press the Shutter button to begin shooting videos. The elap se time w ill appear on the top right of the LCD screen.
30 White Balance Y ou can select di fferent White Balan ce for shooting. 1. Press the Menu /OK button. 2. Press the Lef t/Right button to sele ct the White Balance menu option. 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the W hite Balan ce you desire: Auto / Day light / Cloudy / Incandescent / Fluorescent 4.
31 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m. 5. The corresponding resolution icon w ill appear on the right hand side of the LCD screen. Playback M ode Set the mode switch to the Playback mode. Y ou can preview the pho tos and videos y ou have recorded.

T o Zoom in to the ph oto press the T button to magnify the photos and the W button to z oom out . 5. Press the Up/Dow n/Right/Left but ton to navigate within the sele cted photo.
33 Playing the A VI vid eo file Select an A VI file you want to p lay . 1. Press the Shutter bu tton to begin play ing the A VI file. 2. Press the Shutter bu tton to pau se and again to con tinue. 3. Press the Up button to s top and e xit t he video playback mode for selecting fil es or wait un til the file playback ov er .
34 2. Press the Right /Left button to select the Rotate menu option. 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the degree you w ant to rotate your ph oto or cancel to exit. 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m. 5. A “ Rot ate and Saving ” m essage will appear on the LCD.
35 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the “ Lo ck ” option. 4. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m and exit. 5. A lock icon will appe ar on that ima ge when it appear on the LCD . 6. T o unlock a lo cked image, press the Me nu/OK button. 7. At step 3 select “ Unlock ” and press Menu/O K t o unlock the current file.
36 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select: “ This image ” (photos) or “ This Video ” (videos) depend ing on the file selected to delete the current photo or video “ A LL ” to delete all unprote ct photos or videos “ Cancel ” t o ex it.
37 4. Press the Menu /OK button. 5. The Crop feature ope ns. 6. Press the T/ W buttons to out change the size of t he rectang le (the area you will crop ). 7. Press the Up/Down /Right/Left button to move the rect angle to select the area of the photo you want to crop.
38 5. Press the Menu /OK button to confir m. 6. A “ Please conne ct to device ” message w ill appear on the LCD. 7. Connect your camera with the USB cable to the Printer`s Pi ctb ridge USB socket. 8. The following m enu will appea r once the camera detect s that it is connected to the printer: 9.
39 12 . Wai t for the printer to pro cess your reque st. After a moment the photo is pr inted. Note: P rinting many photos w ill take m ore t ime. Please be patient a nd wait for all the pho tos to print. 13 . When t he print i s finished, a Prin t Finished screen app ears.
40 Install the V ivitar Experience Image M anager Software Y ou must be connected to the internet to insta ll and run the Vivit ar Experience Image Manager sof tware. 1. Insert the inst allation CD into you r CD-ROM drive. The installation scr een should automatically open .
41 Note: If you do no t have internet a cc ess, yo u can still downloa d m edia fro m t he camera. Cli ck the “How to transfer photos an d videos from my camera to my computer” button f or instructions.
42 11 . Please w ait while the application continues the in stallation process on your computer . 12 . On PC: Click the “Close” button whe n the installation is complete. On Macintosh: Cli ck the “Quit” button when the installation is co mplete.
