3 BEF ORE Y OU BE GIN T o use some of the best fea tures of your new T ablet, you will need to connect to the Internet. Don’t worry , it’ s easy . The First-Time Setup in this Quick Start Guide will walk you through the process. T o connect your T ablet to the Internet, you must have an Internet connection and a wireless network.
4 FIRST-TIME SE TUP The Setup Wizard starts automatically . Ta p Get Started . 2 Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn the T ablet on. 1.
5 T a p your preferred language, then touch Next . 3 Read about the basics. Slide your fingertip up and down the screen to scroll. T a p Next . 4.
6 T o connect your T ablet to a wireless network, tap the name of your network (and enter your password, if needed). 5 If your network is not listed, tap Add Wireless Network , then enter your network name (and password, if needed).
7 Ta p Add Account to create or log into a Google or Gmail account. If you want to go to the next step, tap Skip . 6 Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email Address to register your T ablet, then tap Next .
8 Y ou can view the manual a t any time by tapping the User Manual icon on the Home screen. The first-time setup is complete. T ap Start Using My VIZIO T ablet or Read the User Manual .
9 CHARGING THE T ABLE T Connect the Micro USB Cable to the T ablet. 1 The symbol in the battery icon means the T ablet is charging. When the batter y icon has five full bars, the T ablet is fully charged. Connect the USB Cable to the Charger , then connect the Charger to an electrical outlet.
10 SLEEP MODE AND UNL OCKING THE T ABLE T T o wake the T ablet, press the P ower button. The Lock screen will be displayed. Unlock the T ablet by sliding your fingertip from one side of the screen to the other . The T ablet screen will turn off automa tically after 5 minutes if it is not being used.
11 USING THE T OUCH-SENSITIVE BUT TONS Y our T ablet can be used in portrait or landscape mode. Landscape Mode Portrait Mode T a p the BACK button to go to the last screen you were viewing. If the on-screen keyboard is open, use BACK to close it. T a p the HOME button to return to the Home screen.
12 ST A YING ORGA NIZED T o add an App to a Category or the Dock, touch and hold the App icon you want to add. When the Options menu is displayed, tap Add to Dock or add to your current categor y (Favorites, Games, etc). Dock Up to 5 of your Apps can be added to the Dock for quick access.
