3 IN T RODUC T ION Kidizoom ® Camera Connect is a durable and fun camera that empowers kids to take photos, shoot video and experiment with fun photo effects.
4 ON/OFF Button Press this button to turn the camera ON or OFF. USB Port Plug the included USB cable into this port to connect to your computer. Home Button Press this button to go to the main menu or to go back to the previous submenu. 4-Directional Cursor Buttons Press these buttons to move the cursor and make selections.

7 M EM ORY C AR D IN ST ALLA TIO N • Kidizoom ® Camera Connect supports the below memory cards for memory expansion. • Make sure the camera is turned OFF. • Locate the memory card slot at the bottom of the camera. • Pull up the rubber cover. • Ins ert th e mem ory ca rd ( not inc lud ed) as il lust rat ed .

9 Note: If there is a memory card in the camera, the removable drive will show the content in the memory card only. To back up photo or video les taken by the camera: • Loca te and open the “DCI M” folde r in the remova ble driv e “VTech 1407” • Your photos or video les will be placed in the subfolders, such as “100VTECH”.
10 AC TIVITI E S 1. CAMERA • In Camera mode, you can either look through the viewnders or look at the LCD screen to see the capture subject. • While holding the camera steady, press the Shutter Button on the top of the camera or press the OK Button to take a picture.
1 1 or fast forward at 2X speed; press this button again to change the speed to 4X. Press the Cursor Button or the OK Button to return to 1X normal playing speed. • While playing the movie, press the Zoom In or Zoom Out Button to increase or decrease the volume.
12 In this menu, press the 4-directional cursor buttons to select a different voice changing effect and press the OK button to add the selected effect. To save the changed voice as another voice le, press the cursor buttons to move the highlight to the “Save As” icon and press the OK button to start the saving process.

15 change the size of the area the effect will be applied to. Press the OK Button to conrm your selection. Press the cursor buttons to move the effect to where you want to apply it, and then press the OK Button to add it to the photo. Note: Generating a special effect on your camera may take more than 1 minute.

1 7 A. ODD ONE OUT Do you want to be a detective? Find the picture that’s different from the others as quickly as possible! Press the 4-directional Cursor Buttons to select your choice and press the OK Button to answer. Try to nd as many as possible in the time available to get a great high score.
18 • Volume After choosing Settings in the Main Menu, the Volume setting menu will be the rst menu to appear. Press the Up or Down Cursor Button to adjust the volume up or down. • Memory This menu allows you to review the status of the camera’s internal memory or memory card (if inserted).

24 KIDIZ OOM ® CA MERA CONNEC T F REQUEN T L Y ASKED QUES TIONS Question 1: I have bought a Vtech Kidizoom ® Camera Connect , but it will not work with my PC; my PC is looking for a driver. I have searched the Internet and cannot nd a VTech ® camera driver.
25 Question 4: My camera turns on then immediately shuts off. Answer: Please make sure you are using new batteries. If there is no bad contact due to dirt on the contact spring/plate or deformation of the contact spring or plate, the power should be able to turn on.

WR IST S TR AP A T T ACH M E NT INS TRUC TIONS Step 1: Locate the thread loop on the end of the strap. Insert it into the groove behind the bar and then push it through. Step 2: Feed the end of the strap up through the loop and pull it all the way through.
