5 Index Contents 5 Index Contents CONTR OL PANEL OVERVIEW Use the W acom T ablet control panel to cu stomize your Cintiq or input tools. Experiment with dif fer ent settings to find what works best for you. Any changes you make will take effect immediately .

7 Index Contents 7 Index Contents CALIBRATING THE PEN DISPLAY Y ou must calibrate the pen display to align the screen cursor with the position of the pen on the display screen. This is r equired to compensate for viewing angle, and to adjust for parallax caused by the display screen cover glass.
8 Index Contents 8 Index Contents ADJUSTING PITCH AND PHASE (VGA ONLY) Some computers and video car ds may not allow the auto-syn c function to fully work when th e interactive pen display is firs t connected. If some p ortio n of text appears blurr ed, use the pen display A UTO A DJUST option to automatically synchronize to the incoming sign al.
9 Index Contents 9 Index Contents CUSTOMIZING THE PEN Use the pen to open t he W acom T ablet contr ol panel. The pen will be selected in the T OOL list and th e appropri ate tabs will be di splayed. If the pen is not automatically selected, choose it from the T OOL list.
10 Index Contents 10 Index Contents ADJUSTING TIP FEEL AND DOUBLE-CLICK T o adjust the tip sensitivity of your pen, select the P EN tab. Customizes the amount of pressur e needed to click, draw , or ink. Drag th e slider to a so fter or firmer setting.

Tilt sensitivity determines h ow far you have to tilt the tool to produce the maximum tilt ef fe ct; you need to tilt the pen less at hi gh sensitivi ty than at low sensitivity .

Then click on the A PPLICATION list’ s [ + ] button to display the A DD A PPLICATION FOR C USTOM S ETTINGS dialog box.

The tool you use to open the control pa nel is automatically selected, and the appropriate tabs for that tool are displayed.

Wherever you place your Cintiq input tool on the pen display tablet, the screen cursor will jump to the corresponding point on the sc r een. This is known as absolute positioning, and is the default setting for the pen.
