A-5 General Instructions Y our Weber Gas Barbecue is a portable outdoor cooking appliance. With the Weber Gas Barbecue you can grill, barbecue, roast and bake with results that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen appliances. The closed lid and Flavorizer® Bars produce that “outdoor” flavor in the food.

A-9 Remove P ackaging fr om Grill Remove all tape from packaging. Remove bottom rack from top of packaging. Remove outer box. Pull out bottom tray from cooking box. Remove packaging material from bottom tray , catch pan holder , catch pan, and drip pan.

If the cylinder has a def ect, malfunctions, or you ha ve a question regarding the cylinder , call the cylinder manuf acturer’ s customer ser vice center .
C-2 Important LP Cylinder Information F ailure to follo w these DANGER statements e xactly ma y result in a fire causing death or ser ious injur y . D ANGER NEVER store a spare LP Cylinder under or near this barbecue. NEVER fill the tank bey ond 80% full.
C-3 Remove the contr ol panel (1) Unscrew the tw o phillips screws , located on the right edge of the control panel. (2) T ak e off the burner control knobs. (3) Lift off the control panel. (1) (2) (1) Connect filled liquid propane c ylinder W ARNING: Make sure that the c ylinder valve is closed.
C-4 Check: 1) Hose to manifold connection. W ARNING: If there is a leak a connection(1), retighten the fitting with a wrench and rechec k for leaks with soap and water solution. If a leak persists after retightening the fitting, turn OFF the gas. DO NO T OPERA TE THE BARBECUE.
C-5 Install Right W ork Surface Y ou will need right wor k surf ace, two 1/2 inch bolts , two n ylon washers and a 7/16 inch or adjustab le wrench. Inser t the right work surface tabs in the slots In the frame(1). Slip washers on the bolts and inser t the bolts as shown(2).

D-3 Cooking m W ARNING: Do not mo ve the Weber Gas Barbe- cue when operating or while barbecue is hot. Y ou can adjust the FRONT and BACK burners as desired. The control settings: High (H), Medium (M), Low (L), or Off (O) are described in your W eber cookbook.
D-4 Refilling the Liquid Pr o- pane Cylinder We recommend that you refill the LP cylinder before it is completely empty . Remov al of the LP cylinder 1) Close cylinder valve (turn clockwise). 2) Unscrew regulator coupling by turning counter- clockwise, by hand only .
D-5 7) Check for leaks by wetting the fitting with the soap and water solution and watching for bubbles. If bubbles form, or if a bubble grows, there is a leak. Liquid Propane Cylinder The liquid propane cylinder manufacturer is respon- sible for the materials, workmanship and performance of the tank.
D-6 Safe handling tips f or Liquid Pr opane Gas Cyl- inder s ■ Liquid Propane (LP) gas is a petroleum product as are gasoline and natural gas. LP gas is a gas at regular temperatures and pressures. Under moderate pressure, inside a cylinder , LP gas is a liquid.
D-7 Annual Maintenance After a period of nonuse, we recommend that you perform the following maintenance procedures for your safety . m W ARNING: Check the hose bef ore each use of the barbecue for nic ks, cracking, abrasions or cuts. If the hose is found to be damaged in an y way , do not use the barbecue.
D-8 General Maintenance Weber Spider Stopper™ Guards Y our Weber Gas Barbecue, as well as any outdoor gas appliance, is a target for spiders and other insects. They can nest in the venturi section (V enturi(1), air shutter(2), venturi fin(3) ) of the burner tubes.
D-9 (1) (1) (1) (2) (1) Replacing Main Burners 1) Y our Weber Gas Barbecue must be OFF and cool. 2) Turn gas OFF at source. 3) T o remove control panel: take off the burner control knobs. Remove the screws holding the control panel in place. Lift off the control panel.
D-10 Cr ossover® Ignition System Operations If the Crossover Ignition System fails to ignite the Left burner , light the Left burner with a match. If the Left burner lights with a match, then check the Crossover Ignition System. ■ Check that both the white(1) and black(2) ignition wires are attached properly .
T r oubleshooting Pr oblem Chec k Cure Burners b urn with a yello w or orange flame, in conjunction with the smell of gas. Inspect Weber Spider Stopper Guards for possible obstructions. (Blockage of holes.) Clean Weber Spider Stopper Guards. (See Section “Annual Maintenance”) Burners do not light.
