5 USING Y OUR WA S H E R Understanding W asher Cy cles When the Cycle Control kno b is set to a number and pu lled out, th e washer fill s (to the sel ected loa d size) befor e agita tion an d timing s tart. Th e washer begins ag itatin g immediatel y after fi lling; agi tation occ urs with the wash er lid up o r down.
6 Normal W asher Sounds Y ou r new wa sher may make sounds your old one didn’t. Because the sounds mig ht be unfamil iar , you may be conce rned a bout them. The se soun ds are normal . Duri ng wash ing When you s elect a sma ll load si ze setting, yo ur washer has a lower water level.
7 3. (OPTI ONAL STEP) Pour measured liquid chlorine bleach i nto the l iquid chlorin e bleach dispenser . Bleach will be di luted automati cally durin g the wash part of t he cycle. ■ Never use mor e th an 1 cup (2 50 mL) for a full load . Use les s with a smalle r load size.
8 10. Pu sh in th e Cycle Contr ol knob and turn it clockw ise to the wash cycle you want. Reduce the wash time when using a smal l load size setting. See “ Selectin g a Cycle and Ti me.” 11. Pull out the Cycle Control kn ob to start the w a sher .
9 Rinse and Spin When usin g extra deter gent for heavil y soiled clot hes, or washin g sp ecial-ca re items, yo u may find an e xtra rin se and sp in is nee ded. 1. Push in th e Cycle Contr o l knob and turn it clockw ise to any of the R inse set tings.
10 Self-cleaning Lint F ilter Y our wash er has a self -cleani ng lint fi lter at the bottom of the ba sket. W ash and ri nse water flow over the filter during agita tion, separa ting the lin t fr om the wa ter . The lint spins out of the system during the spin part of the cycle.

13 Load is wrinkled ■ Did y ou unload the washer promptly ? Unload the washer as soon as it stops. ■ Did y ou use the right cycle for the load being washed? Use the P er manent Pres s cycle or anot her cycle with low spin spe eds (if av aila b le) to reduc e wrinkling.
