6 U SING Y OUR R ANGE U SING THE SURFACE BURNERS NOTE: Do not leave empty cookware, or cookwar e which has boiled dry , on a hot surface bur ner . The cookware could overheat, causing damage to the cookware or cooking pr oduct.
7 USING YOUR RANGE U SING THE SURFACE BURNERS ( CONT . ) In case of a prolonged power failure Y ou can manually light surface bur ners. Hold a lit match near a burner and tur n the control knob to the LIGHT position. After the burner lights, tur n the control knob to the setting you want.
8 USING YOUR RANGE Positioning racks and pans Place the oven racks where you need them before turning on the oven. • T o move a rack, pull it out to the stop position, raise the front edge and lift it out. • Be sure the rack(s) is level. • Use pot holders or oven mitts to protect your hands if rack(s) must be moved while the oven is hot.

11 1. Press CLOCK. 2. Set the time. Press the “up” ( s ) or “down” ( t ) pad(s) until the correct time shows on the display . 3. Start the clock.
12 USING YOUR RANGE 3. Start the minute timer . The minute timer will begin counting down immediately after the timer is started. When the time is up: Y ou will hear four 1-second tones, then four 1-second reminder tones every minute until you press TIMER OFF.
13 Y our oven is designed with the ACCUBAKE ® temperature management system to constantly monitor oven temperature. The burner element will cycle, as needed, to maintain the desired temperature. This featur e is automatically activated when the oven is in operation.
14 USING YOUR RANGE PRESS YOU SEE OFF CANCEL (time of day) 5. Press ST ART/ENTER. A preheat conditioning time counts down the approximate pr eheat time after the oven temperature has been set and ST ART has been pressed.
15 USING YOUR RANGE Although your new oven is properly adjusted to provide accurate temperatur es, it may cook faster or slower than your old oven. If you are not satisfied with the baking/r oasting results, you can change the of fset temperature by following the steps below .
16 USING YOUR RANGE B ROILING 3. Before the br oiler is tur ned on, place your food on the broiler pan. Then place the pan on the broiler bottom (Ledge 0) or one of the two ledges and roll the br oiler pan and grid into the broiler . 4. Close the broiler door .
5. Press CUSTOM BROIL. 6. Start oven. Y ou can change the temperature setting any time after pressing ST ART/ENTER. T o change the setting, see “T o custom broil at a lower temperature” below . After changing the setting, you do not have to press ST ART/ENTER again.
18 Broiling guidelines Recommended pan positions are number ed from bottom (0) to top (2) (see “Br oiler pan and grid” earlier in this section.) Y ou should rotate the br oiler pan back to the front at the same time you turn the foods. B ROILING ( CONT .
19 C LEANING CHART Before cleaning, always make sur e all controls ar e off and the range is cool. Refer to instructions on all cleaning products befor e using them to clean your range. w W ARNING Explosion Hazard Do not store flammable materials such as gasoline near this appliance.
20 CARING FOR YOUR RANGE C LEANING CHART ( CONT . ) PART CLEANING METHOD SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS Surface burners • See the “Sealed surface burner” section in the “Caring for your range” section. Oven cavity • Food spills containing sugar and/or milk • Soap and water • When oven cools, wash, rinse and dry with soft cloth.
21 • Occasionally check the burner flames for proper size and shape as shown. A good flame is blue in color . If the flames are uneven, you may need to clean the burner ports. Cleaning the surface burners • Y ou should routinely remove and clean the burner cap.
22 S EALED SURFACE BURNERS AND COOKTOP ( CONT . ) 5. After cleaning the gas tube opening and ports, replace the burner cap. T o replace the burner cap, make sure the alignment pins on the cap are pr operly aligned with the burner base. T o clean the burners: 1.
23 R EMOVING THE O VEN DOOR ( CONT . ) T o remove: 1. Open the oven door . Insert door removal pins, included with your range, into both hinge hangers. Do not remove the pins while the door is removed from the range. 3. Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on the front of the door and your thumbs on the inside surface.
24 Range Front frame hinge slot 2. Hold oven door so that the top edge of each hinge hanger is horizontal. Insert hinge hangers into the front frame hinge slots. 3. Tilt top of door toward range. Slide hinge hangers down onto front frame support pins.
25 CARING FOR YOUR RANGE 4. Place your fingers in the slots in the bottom panel and lift the rear of the panel up and back until the lip at the front of the panel is clear of the front frame of the oven cavity . 5. Lift the bottom up and out. T o replace: Reverse the steps above.
26 CAUSE • The range is not plugged into a properly gr ounded outlet (120v polarized). • The range is not properly connected to the gas supply . Contact a designated service technician to reconnect the range to the gas supply . (See the Installation Instructions.
27 C OOKING RESULTS D ISPLA Y MESSAGES PROBLEM The display is showing “PF” “F” followed by a number shows on the display CAUSE • There has been a power failur e. Press OFF/CANCEL to clear the display , then reset the clock. (See page 11.) • Press OFF/CANCEL to clear the display .
