6 Cont rol P anels START-UP GUIDE Befor e using you r dishwash er , remove all packaging ma terials. Read this en tire Use and Car e Guid e. Y ou will find important s afe ty information and u seful operating tip s. Using Y our Ne w Dis hwa sher 1. Scrape lar ge food soil and har d items (toothpicks or bones) from dishes.
7 Stopping Y ou r Dishwasher Y ou can stop your dishwa sher anytime d uring a cycle. 1. Open the door sli ghtly . 2. W ait for the spraying action to stop. Then open the door all the way , if needed. 3. Close the door to contin ue the cycle. OR 1. T urn the cycle con trol knob slowly clockwise until you hear water drai ning.
8 Loading B ottom Rack The bottom rack is designed for plate s, pans, casse roles, and utensils. Items with cooked-on or dried-on food should be loaded with soil ed surfaces facing inward to th e spray . (Se e recommended loading pat tern s shown.) NOTE : The features on you r dishwasher rack may va ry from the drawings shown.
9 DISH W ASHER US E Dete rgen t D is pen ser The det ergent dispenser has 2 sec tions. The Pre-W ash section empties de tergent into the dishwash er when you close t he door . The larger Main W ash section automat ically empties de tergent into the di shwasher du ring the main wash.
10 Rinse Aid Dispenser Rinse aids keep water from forming droplets that can dry as spot s or st reak s. They also i mpr ove dry ing by allowing water to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse w ater .
11 Cycle Se lecti on Cha rts For DU810, DU811: T urn the cycl e control knob to th e desired cyc le. If the door i s latched , you will hear the cy cles start and stop as the cycle control knob pass es each cycle mark. Thi s is normal and doe s not hurt the di shwasher .
12 Optio n Select ion s Y ou can change an option an ytime before the se lecte d option begins. For example, y ou can pr e ss an un heated dry ing option anytime be fore drying begins. No Heat Dry Select this ener gy-saving option to dry without heat.

14 DISHWA SHER CARE Cle aning Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, d amp cloth or sponge and a mild d eter gent is all that is neces sary to keep t he outs ide of your dishwash er looking nice an d clean. If y our dishwas her has a stainles s steel exteri or , a stainless steel cl eaner is recommended.
