4 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS T ools an d P arts Check that you ha ve everythin g necessary for correct installa tion. Proper in stallat ion is yo ur responsi bilit y . Parts supplied Remove parts p ackages from dryer dru m. Check that all parts are inclu ded.
5 Locat ion Requirem ents Y ou will need ■ A location that allows for p r oper exhaus t installation . See “ V entin g Requirements. ” ■ A sep arate 30 a mp c ir cuit. ■ A grounded electric al outlet loc ated withi n 2 ft (61 cm) of either side of the drye r .
6 Minimum installatio n spacing for recessed or closet installation, with or without a pe destal ■ The dimensions shown ar e for the m i nimum sp acing allowed. ■ For closet installation, with a door , minimum vent ilation openings in the top and bottom of the door are r equired.

8 Electric a l Connec tion Power Supp ly Cord 1. Discon nect powe r . 2. Remo ve the hold-down screw an d termin al blo ck co ver . Direct Wire 3. Asse mble a ³⁄₄ in. (1.9 cm) UL a ppr oved strain r e lief (UL marking on strain relief) into th e hole below the terminal block opening.
9 Electrical Connection Options * If loca l codes do not permi t the connecti on of a frame- grounding conduct or to the neutral wire, go to “ Optional 3-wir e Connect i on ” section.
10 4-wire c onnection: Dire ct wire IMPORT ANT : A 4-wi re connect ion is r equir ed for mobil e homes and where local codes do not permit the use of 3-wire connection s. Dire ct wir e cab le must ha ve 5 ft ( 1.52 m) of extra length so drye r can be moved i f needed.

12 V en ting Requiremen ts WARNING: T o re duce the risk of fire, t his dryer MUST BE EXHAUSTED OUTDOORS. 4 in. (10. 2 cm) heavy metal exhaust ve nt and clamps must be used. 15 Conne ct V e nt 1. Using a 4 in. (10. 2 cm) clamp, connect vent to exhaust ou tlet in drye r . If c onnecti ng to exis ting vent, ma ke sur e the vent is clean. The dryer ven t must fit over th e dryer exhaust ou tlet and ins ide the exhaus t hood.
16 Reverse th e hinge and hinge bra cket 1. Place th e inner door , screwhead side u p, on the work s urface. 2. Remove the 4 screws that hol d the hinge to the d oor . 3. Remove the 2 screws that hold the hand le bracket to th e door . 4. Move hinge to the other side an d reattach.
17 Complete Installation 1. Check to be su r e all parts are now i nstalled. If there is an extra part , go back through the steps to see which st ep was skipp ed. 2. Check to be su re you have all of yo ur tool s. 3. Disp ose of all pa ckaging mater ial s.

19 T o use a Manual Cycle ■ Rotate th e dial to se lect a Manual Cycle. Press MORE TIME or LESS TIME until the desired drying time is d is p la ye d . T ap M OR E TI M E o r LE S S T I ME a n d t h e t im e w il l change by 1-minu te intervals. Press and hold MORE TIME or LESS TI ME and the time wi ll change by 5-minu te intervals.
20 Cycle tips ■ Dry most loads u sing the preset cycle set tings. ■ Refer to t he Automat ic or Manu al Preset Cycle S ettings chart (in the “ Cycles ” section ) for a guide to dr ying various lo ads. ■ Drying t emperature and Drynes s Level are preset when you choose an Au tomatic Cyc le.
21 Automatic Pr eset Cycle Settings * Esti mated Ti me with Drynes s Level (med ium) se tting. Manual C ycles Use Manual Cycl es to select a sp ecific amount of dryi ng time and a drying te mperature. When a Manua l Cycle is select ed, the ESTIMA TED TIME REMAINING display shows the actual time remaining in yo ur cycle.
22 End of Cycle Si gnal The End of Cycle Signal produces an a udible soun d when t he drying cyc le is finished . Promptly removing clothes at the end of the cycl e r educes wr inkling. Press and release t he END OF CYCLE SI GNAL to ad just the sound le vel or turn off the signal.
23 DRYER CARE Cleanin g the Dryer Loca tion Keep dryer area cle ar and free from items that wou ld obstruct the flow of combustion and vent ilation air . Cleanin g the Lint Scree n Every load clean ing The lint screen is located in the door ope ning of the dryer .
24 V acation and Moving Care V acation care Operate your dryer onl y when you are at home. If you will be on vacation or not using your dryer for an ext e nded period of time, you sho uld: 1. Unplug dryer or disconn ect power . 2. W a sh li nt scree n.
25 Dryer will not run ■ Check the following : Is the pow er cord plugg ed in? Has a fuse blown, or has circuit breake r trippe d? W a s a r egular fuse u sed? Use a time-del ay fuse. Is the dryer door fi rmly closed? If not, the time display will blink .
