6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls Electr ic ignit ors auto matical ly light t he surfa ce burners wh en control knobs are turned t o LIGHT . Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookw ar e on t he grate. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccu pied.
7 To C l e a n : IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make sure all con trols are of f and the oven and c ooktop are cool. Do not use ov en cleane rs, bleach or rust remov ers. 1. Remove the bu rner cap from the burne r base and clean according to “General Cleani ng” section.
8 O V EN USE Electr onic Cloc k/Timer Display When pow er is first s upplied to t he applian ce, everyt hing on th e displa y wil l light u p for 5 seco nds. Then , the tim e of day and “ PF” will appear on the d isplay . Any other time “PF” appears, a power failure occurred.
9 T o Adjust O ven T emperatur e Calibrat ion: 1. Make sure the oven t emperature control kn ob is in the OFF posi tion. Pu ll ov en tem per atur e contr ol kn ob str aigh t of f and tur n it over . 2. Loosen the loc king screws insid e the oven tempe rature control knob.
10 Bak ew are The bakeware material af fects cooking results. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use the b akeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the follow ing chart as a gui de. Ov en V ent 1. Oven Ve nt The oven ven t releases hot air and mois ture from the oven, and should not be blocked or covered.
11 T o Broil: 1. Push i n and turn oven contr ol knob to B ROIL. 2. After b roil ing, tu r n th e oven c ontro l knob t o OFF . Broiling Chart For best results, place food 3 in. (7 cm) or more from the broil element. Time s are guideline s only and may need to be ad justed for in dividual food s and ta stes.
