5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls The c ontrol knobs can be set anyw here between HI and LO. Push in and t ur n to se tting. Use the fo llowing chart as a guide when setting heat levels. A CCUS IMMER ™ F eatur e (on some models) The ACCUSIMM ER setting is an adjustab le heat setting fo r more pr ecise simmering.
8 Ce ra mic Gl as s (on some model s) The surface cooking ar ea will glow r ed when an element is o n. It will cycle on and off, at all settings, to maintain the selected heat level. It is nor mal for the sur face of white ce ramic glass t o appear to change color whe n surface cookin g areas ar e hot.
9 ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL Dis play When po wer is first su pplied to the appliance, ev erything o n the display will light up for 1 to 2 seconds, then “ PF ” will appear . Pres s OFF to cle ar . Any other time “ PF ” appea rs, a power fa ilure o ccurred .
10 All T on es All of the above tone s are preset o n, all except the end-of-cycle tones c an be turned of f. T o T urn Off/ On: Press and hold STOP TIME for 5 seconds. A tone w ill sound and “ oFF ” or “ Snd OFF ” (depend ing on you r model) will app ear on the display .
11 OVE N USE Odors are norm al when the ran ge is new . This happen s the first time th e oven is used or when the oven is h eavily soiled. IM PORT AN T : The health of so me bir ds is extr emely sensitive to the fu mes given of f. Exposu re to t he fumes may r esult in death to certain birds.
12 Meat T her mome ter On mod els without a tem peratur e prob e, always rely o n a meat therm ometer to determine doneness of meat an d poultr y . The internal tem peratur e, not appear ance, is what counts. A me at therm ometer is not supp lied wit h this appl iance.
13 T o V a ri Br oil: Changing the tempera tur e when custom b roilin g allows mor e pr ecise contr ol when c ooking. The lowe r the tem peratur e, the slower t he cooking. Thic ker cuts an d unevenly shaped pieces of meat, fish and poultry may cook bett er at lower br oiling tempe ratur es.
14 T o Convecti on Bake or Ro ast: Befo re convection baki ng or roasting, pos ition th e racks accor ding to the “ Positioning R acks and Bak eware ” section.
15 T o Conve ction Br oil: Befo re convecti on broil i ng, see the “ Br oiling ” section for g eneral broiling guidelines and rack positioning. Allow the oven to pr eheat for 5 minutes. Positi on food on the grid in the br oiler pan, then place i t in the ce nter of the oven ra ck with the longest s i de p ara llel to the do or .
