7 IMPORT ANT (on some models): ■ When the c ycle sta rts, you will see a rotating pat tern of lights in the d isplay wi ndow indicat ing that th e unit is ope rating. This pattern will co ntinue f or up to 6 mi nutes whil e the multiple s ensors check the i ncoming wate r temperature, rinse aid usage a nd soil level on dishes and cookw are.
8 Cup shelv es (on so me mode ls) Fold down the extra shelf on the left or right side of th e top rack to hold add itional cups, stemware or long items su ch as utens ils and spat ulas. Flexible tines (on some models) The row of tines on the left and right sides of the top rack can be adjusted t o make room for a variety of dishes.
9 ■ Load soup, cereal, an d serving bowl s in the rack in a vari ety of ways depend ing upon their s ize and shape. L oad bowls secur ely betw een the r ows of tines . Do not nest bowls because t he spray will no t reach all surfaces. ■ Load cookie sh eets, cake pans, and other la r ge items at the sides and bac k.

12 Rinse A id Dispenser Rinse aids prevent water from forming d roplets th at can dry as spot s or str eaks. They al so imp rove d rying by allow ing wate r to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse wat er .
13 Cycle Sel ectio n C hart s Sel ect the wash cy cle an d opti ons desi re d. The d ishwas her st arts fillin g once you press a cyc le, unless you selec t a delay w ash.
14 Can celing a Cycl e Anyti me during a cyc le, press If you r dishwash er has a du al-digit d isplay , it shows Y our dishwasher st arts a 2-minut e drain (if nee ded). Let t he dishwash er drain complet ely . Th e light tur ns off after 2 minute s.
15 Hi-T emp Sc our Select this op tion to increase the target wat er temperatu re during the wash port ions of the cyc le. Hi-T emp Sc our raises the t ar get water temperatur e to 145 º F (63 º C) in the main wash.
16 Delay Hours (models wit h 2-4-8 hour button) Use Delay Hours to r un your di shwash er at a later time or du ring off-peak hours. Y ou can add items to the l oad anyt ime during t he delay count down. After ad ding items, cl ose the door firmly unt il it latche s.
