6 START-UP GUIDE Befor e usin g your dish washer , remov e all pa ckaging mat erials. R ead this entir e Use an d Care Guide . Y ou will find importan t safe ty information and u seful operating tip s. Using Y our Ne w Dishwa sher 1. Scrape lar ge food soil and har d items (toothpicks or bones ) from dishes.
7 ■ Place items so op en ends face down for clean ing and draini ng. ■ Load glass es and cups in top rack only . The b ottom rack is not designed for glasses and cu ps. Damage can occur . ■ Place cup s and glasses i n the rows between tin es. Placing them over th e tines can l ead to breakage.
8 Mix item s in each sect ion of the ba sket with some p ointing up and some down to a void nest ing. Spray can not reach nest ed items . IMPORT ANT : Always load items (kni ves, skewers , etc.) poin ting down. NOTE S: ■ Do not load silver or silv er -pla ted silverware with stainless steel.
9 Rin se Ai d Dis pe nse r Rinse aids keep water from forming droplets that can dry as spot s or st re aks. They al so im pr ove d rying by allo wing water to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse wa ter .
10 Canceling a Cycle Y ou can cancel a cycl e at any time. 1. T urn the cycle con trol knob slowly clockwise u ntil you hear water drai ning. Let the dishwash er drain complete ly . 2. Open the door . 3. T urn the cycle con trol knob to Of f. Chang ing a Cycle or Settin g Y ou can change a cycle anyt ime during a cycle.
11 Dryi ng Syst em During dryi ng, you can see ste am escaping through the vent at the upper lef t corner of the door . This is normal as the heat dries your di shes.
12 DISHWA SHER CARE Cle aning Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, d amp cloth or s ponge and a mild d eter gent is a ll that is n eces sary to keep t he ou tside of you r dishwash er looking nice and cl ean. If your di shwasher has a stainles s steel exterior , a stain less steel cl eaner is recommended.
