6 MICROW A VE OVEN C ONTROL Disp lay When power is first supplie d to the microwave oven, a “:” will blink i n the display . T ouch CA NCEL OFF to stop th e blinking. If th e “:” b links in the d isplay a t an y other time, a p ower failur e has occurred.

8 MICROWA VE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , w alls and cei ling and pass through th e turnt able and appropriate cookware to the food.
9 Cookware an d Dinnerware Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur ntabl e. Always us e oven mitts or pot holders when ha ndling becau se any di sh may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and d i nnerwa re w ith gold or silver trim.
10 Manual Cook ing To U s e : 1. Place food on t he tur ntable, and close the d oor . 2. T ouch COOK TIM E, then ente r a length of time to cook. If cooking with 100% power , skip S tep 3.
11 BAKED POT A T O The Bak ed Pota to program se nses and b akes 1 -4 medi um pieces/potat oes, about 10-13 oz (28 3-369 g) each. ■ Pierce each potat o several ti mes with a fork. ■ Plac e a sin gle potato on the turntabl e, off t o the side (n ot centered).
12 Preset C ooking Times and cooking power h ave been preset for ce rtain microwavable foods. Use the following chart as a guide. * Differences in the amount of fat, meat, thickn ess, and curin g process affect results. Average is 16 slic es per pound .

14 MICROWAVE OVEN CAR E Gener al Cleani ng IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the mic rowave oven is cool. Alway s follow label i nstructions on cleaning product s. Soap, water and a soft cloth or s p onge ar e suggested unless otherwise noted.
15 Replacing F ilters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned at least once a month. Do not operate the microwave oven or exhaust fan without the grease fil ters in place. The charcoal filte rs cannot be washed a nd should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
16 Replacing Microwave Oven Light The microwave oven lig ht is a candelab ra base bulb . It will automatical ly come on when the door is opened and when the microwave oven is operat ing. See “As sistance or Servic e” section to reorder . T o Replace: 1.
