5 Ele ct rica l Requ ire men ts Observe all gover ning cod es and ordinances. A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp fused e lectr ical suppl y is r equired. ( A time -delay fus e or cir cuit br eaker is re commen ded .) It is recommended that a sepa rate circuit serv ing only this appliance be provided.
6 T ur ning Off the T urntable The tur ntable can be turned off (except during an au to function ). This is helpfu l when cooking wit h plates that a re lar ger th an the turn table or when cookin g with two 10¼" (26 cm ) plates tha t are side by si de.
7 Disp lay When power is firs t supplied to t he microwave oven, a “:” will blink on the displ ay . T ouch CANCEL to stop the bl inking . If the “:” blinks on th e displa y at any other t ime, a power fail ure has occurred. T ouch CANCEL and reset the clock if need ed.
8 Ti m er The Timer can be set in minute s and seco nds, up to 99 minutes 99 seconds an d counts dow n the set time. NOTE : The Timer does not st art or stop the microwave oven . When the Timer is in use , the microwave oven can also operate. T o see th e countdown f or 5 seconds whe n the microwave oven is in use, t ouch TIMER SET -OFF .
9 MICROWA VE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , w alls and cei ling and pass through th e turn table and appropriate cookware to the food.
10 Cookware an d Dinnerware Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur ntabl e. Always us e oven mitts or pot holders when ha ndling becau se any di sh may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and dinnerwar e with gold or silver trim.
11 Cookin g To U s e : 1. T ouch COOK TIME. 2. T ouch the numbe r pads to set a length of time to cook. T ouch COOK POWER to set a cooking power othe r than 100%. T ouch the numb er pad us ing the Cooking Powe r chart. 3. T ouch ST ART . The di splay will count down t he cook t ime.
12 Preset C ooking Times and cooking power h ave been preset for ce rtain microwavable foods. Use the following chart as a guide. *S e n s o r f u n c t i o n ** Differ en ces in the amou nt of fat, meat, thickness , and curing process affect results.

15 Steamer V es sel Use the stea mer vess el, (p ro vid e d wi th the micr owave oven) with the Steam Cook fea ture to steam foods. See “Genera l Cleaning” sectio n for additional information. ■ The st eamer vess e l will b ecome hot. Alwa ys use oven mit ts or pot holde rs when handling.
16 MICROWAVE OVEN CAR E Gen eral Cl eaning IMPORT AN T : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the ov en is cool. A lways f ollow label instru ction s on cle aning products. Soap, wat er and a sof t cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted.
17 Replacing F ilters The grease filters should be removed and cleaned at least once a month. The charcoal filter cannot be washed and sh ould be replaced every 6 to 12 months. Do no t operate th e microwave oven without the filters i n place. See “Assistanc e or Service” to reor d er filters.
18 TROUBLESHOOTING T ry the solutions suggest ed here first in or der to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call.
