9 Aluminum Foil and Metal Always use o ven mi tts or pot h olders when removing di shes from the microwave oven. Alumi num fo i l and some m e tal ca n be used i n the oven. If not used properly , arcing (a b lue flash of l ight) can occur and cause damage to the oven .
10 MICR O W A V E O VEN USE Cooking To U s e : 1. T ouch COOK TIME. 2. T ouc h the num ber pads to set a l ength of time to cook. “TOUCH ST A R T OR POWER” scrolls across display . T ouch COOK POWER to set a cooking power other than 100%. T ou ch the nu mber pad( s) using th e Cooking Power chart.
11 Defr ostin g The auto De frost feature’ s preset programs can b e used or the microwave oven can be manually set t o defrost. ■ Food should be 0°F ( -18°C) or colder at de frosting for optimal results. How foods are stored can affect results.
12 Replacing Filter s The grease filters sh ould be removed an d cleaned at least on ce a month. The ch arcoal filter cann ot be wash ed a nd shoul d be replaced every six t o tw el ve months. Do not operate the microwave oven withou t the filte rs in place .
