3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti -T i p Bracke t The range will not tip during normal use. However , the range can tip i f you apply too much for ce or weig ht to the open door without the anti-tip br acket fastened down properly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Con trol K nob s The control knob s can be se t anyw here between HI an d LO. P ush in and tur n to setting. Use th e following chart as a guide whe n setti ng heat levels. Ceramic Glass (on some mo dels) The surface cooki ng area will glow red when a n element is on .
8 Hot surface indicator lights One of the hot su rface in dicator li ghts will glow as long as a surface cookin g area is too hot to tou ch, even after the elemen t is tur ned o ff.
9 Cookware IMPORT ANT : Never leave empty cookware on a hot surface cooking area, element or su rface bur ner . Ideal cookware should h ave a fla t bottom, s traight sid es, a we ll- fitting lid and the material sh ould be of medium-to-heavy thick ness.
10 Ti m e r The T imer can be set in minute s and se conds or ho urs and minutes an d counts down th e set time. Th e Timer does no t start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIMER. The colon wi ll flash during Timer p rogramming. 2. Press the “ up” o r “do wn” ar row pads to s et len gth o f time .
11 BEFORE USING Odors are normal when th e range is new . This happ ens the first time the oven i s used. IMPORT ANT : The health of s ome birds is ex tremely sens itive to the fumes given off. Expos ure to the fumes may result i n death t o certain birds.
12 Oven V ent 1. Oven Ve nt (coil element model) 1. Oven V ent (ceramic glass model) The oven ven t releases hot air an d moisture from the oven, and should not be blocked or covered. Doing s o will cause poor air circulation, a ffecting cooking and cl eaning results.
13 T o Broil: 1. Push i n and turn oven contr ol knob to B ROIL. On some models, se t the oven selec tor and oven temp erature contr ol knob to BR OIL. The OVEN ON ind icator l ight will turn on. 2. After b roil ing, tu rn the o ven con trol knob to OFF .
14 How the Cycle W orks IMPORT ANT : The heating and cooling of porcelain on steel in the oven may re sult in discoloring, loss of gloss, hai rline cracks and popp ing so unds. The Self-Cl eaning cycle uses very h igh temperatures , bur ning soil to a powdery as h.
15 CERAMIC GLASS (on some m odels) Do not use st eel wool, abrasiv e powder clea nsers, ch lorine bleach, rus t remover or ammonia because damage may occu r . Always wipe with a clean, wet cloth or sponge and dry th oroughly to prevent streaking and s taining.

17 T o Remove: 1. Open the oven door . In sert door removal pins, included with your ran ge, into b oth hin ge hanger s. Do not r e move the pins while the do or is r e moved fro m the ra nge. 2. Carefully close the door until i t rests against th e door removal pins .
