9 USING Y OUR DISHW ASHER Detergent Dispense r The dete r gent dispens er has 2 sections. T he Pre-W ash sectio n emptie s dete r ge nt into t he dish washer when you close th e door . The Ma in W ash section au tomat ica lly empties detergent into the d ishwashe r during the wa sh cycle.
10 Rinse Aid Di spenser A rinse ai d p r events wat er fr om formin g dr oplets that can dry as spot s or strea ks. It also impr oves dr ying by allo wing water to drain off of the d ishes duri ng the final r inse by rel easing a sma ll amount of t h e rinse ai d i nto the rinse water .
11 Cy c le Selection Char t Select the wash c ycle. If the do or is latc hed, you will hear the cycles sta rt and stop as th e Cycle Control knob pas ses each cycl e mark. Th is is normal an d does no t hur t the dishwa sher . If you p r efer , you ca n set th e Cycle Cont ro l knob wit h the do or unlatche d.

17 Did you use the correct amo unt of effective detergent? Use reco mmended dishwash er detergents only . Refer to the “Deter gent Dispen ser” sectio n. Nev er use less than 1 tablespoon (15 g) per load. Dete rgent must be fre sh to be effective .
