Y ou wi ll find import ant safety in formation and usefu l operating tip s. Using Y our Ne w Dishw asher 1. Scrape lar ge food soil and har d items (toothpicks or bones) from dishes.
7 Loading T op Rack The top rack is design ed for cu ps, glas ses, a nd smalle r items. (See recommended loadin g patter ns shown.) NOTE : The features on you r dishwasher rack may va ry from the drawings shown. Do not cover thi rd level sp ray . See ar row .
8 ■ Load soup, cereal, an d serving bowl s in the rack in a variety of ways depend ing upon their s ize and shape. L oad bowls secur ely bet ween the r ows of tine s. Do not n est bowls because t he spray will no t reach all surfaces. ■ Load cookie sh eets, cake pans , and other la rge items at the sides and bac k.
9 NOTE : Fill amounts show n are for standard powdered detergent. Amounts may vary if y ou use liquid or concent rated powd ered detergent. Follow instruct ions on the pa ckage when using liqu id dishwash er detergent or conce ntrated pow dered detergent.
10 ■ Run your dis hwasher with full loads. Run a rinse cy cle after meals unti l the dishw asher is full. ■ If your ho me is equipped with a water softener , you may want to avoid st arting the di shwasher du ring the regenerati on of the softener , as this may con tribute to p oor wash performance.
11 Chang ing a Cy cle or Setting If your dish washer has more than one was h cycle, you can change a cycle an ytime du ring a cycle. 1. Lift the door l atch to stop th e cycle. 2. Press a cycle and, if desi red, press an option. 3. T urn the cycle con trol knob clockwise.
12 Dr y ing System During dryi ng, you can see steam escaping t hrough the vent at the upper lef t corner of the door . This i s normal as the heat d ries your di shes.
13 DISHW ASHER CARE Cleani ng Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, d amp cloth or sponge and a mild d eter gent is all th at is n eces sary to keep the outside of you r dishwash er looking nice an d clean. If y our dishwas her has a stainles s steel exteri or , a stainless stee l cleaner is recommended.
