Y ou wi ll find import ant safety in formation and usefu l operating tip s. Using Y our Ne w Dishw asher 1. Scrape lar ge food soil and har d items (toothpicks or bones) from dishes.
7 Loading T op Rack The top rack is design ed for cu ps, glas ses, a nd smalle r items. (See recommended loadin g patter ns shown.) NOTE : The features on you r dishwasher rack may va ry from the drawings shown. ■ Place items so op en ends face dow n for cleaning and draini ng.
8 ■ Load cookie sh eets, cake pans , and other la rge items at the sides and bac k. Loadin g such items i n front can keep the water spray from reaching the detergent disp enser and silverw are basket. ■ Secure heavil y soiled cookware fac e down in the rack.
9 DISHW ASHER USE Deter gent Di spenser The det ergent dispenser has 2 sec tions. The Pre-W ash section empties de tergent into the dishwash er when you cl ose the door . The Main Wash section aut omaticall y empties d etergent into th e dishw asher du ring t he main wash .
10 Rinse Ai d Dispenser Rinse aids prevent water from forming d roplets that c an dry as spot s or st reak s. They also i mpro ve dry ing by a llowing water to drain off of the dishes d uring the final rinse by releasin g a small amount of the rin se aid in to the rinse w ater .
11 Cy cle Se lection Charts Sel ect the wash cy cle an d opti ons de sir ed. Th e dis hwash er star ts fillin g once you press a cyc le, unles s you selec t a dela y wash. Y ou can select an option as th e machine is fil ling. Y our el ectron ic dish washer senses t he soil level on y our dishe s.
12 Canceling a Cy cle Anyti me during a cyc le, press Cancel/Drain glows. The dishwas her pauses for about 5 seconds and start s a 2-minute d rain (if neede d). Let the dishw asher drain completely . The light goes off when the dishwash er finishes the drain.
13 Air Dry Contr ol Lock Select this option to dry dish es without h eat and sa ve ener gy . The dishes take lon ger to dry and s ome spott ing can occur . For best drying, us e a liquid rinse aid. Some items (such as plasti cs) may n eed towel d rying.
14 W ASHING SPECIAL ITEMS If you have doubts about washing a partic ular item, ch eck with the manuf acturer to see if it is dishwa sher safe. Materi al Dishwa sher Sa fe?/ Comment s Alumi num Ye s High water temp erature and detergents can affect finish of an odized alumin um.
15 DISHW ASHER CARE Cleani ng Cleaning the exterior In most case s, regular use of a soft, d amp cloth or sponge and a mild d eter gent is all th at is n eces sary to keep the outside of you r dishwash er looking nice an d clean. If y our dishwas her has a stainles s steel exteri or , a stainless stee l cleaner is recommended.
