3 RANGE SAFETY The Anti-T ip Brack et The range will not tip during normal use. However , th e range can tip i f you apply too much force o r weight to the open door without the anti-tip br acket fastened down properly . You can be killed or seriously injured if you don't immediately follow instructions.

5 ■ Keep Oven V ent Ducts Unobstructed. ■ Placement of Oven Racks – Always place oven racks in desired location while oven is cool. If rack must be moved while oven is hot, do not let potholder contact hot heating element in oven.

7 COOKTOP USE Cooktop Controls The control knob s can be se t any where betw een HI and LO. Push in and turn to s etting. On s ome models , the surface cooking area locator shows w hich el ement is t urne d on. Use th e following chart as a gui de when setting hea t leve ls.
8 Coil El ement s and Bur ner Bowls (on some models) Coil elements should be level for optimal cooking results. Burner bowls, when clean, reflect he at back to the cookware. They also help ca tch spi lls. Cookwar e should not exten d more than 1 i n. (2.
9 ELECTR ONIC OV EN CONTR OL (on some models) Ov en Indicat or Light s The indi cator light s are located t o the left of, below , and wit hin the display .
10 Control Loc k The Cont rol Lock shu ts down the control panel p ads to preven t unint ended us e of the ove n. When the contr ol is l ocked , only the CLOC K and TI MER pads will funct ion. T o Lock/Unlock Control: Before locking, make sure the oven and Timer are off.
11 BAKEWARE T o cook food e ven ly , hot air mu st be able to ci rc ulat e. Allo w 2 in . (5 cm) of space a round bakeware and oven wal ls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Bak ew are The bakeware material af fec ts cooking results. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use t he bakeware size recommended in the recipe.
12 O V EN USE Baki ng and Roastin g Before baking an d roasting, positi on rack s accor ding to the “Position ing Racks an d Bakeware” section. When roastin g, it is not neces sary to w ait for the ov en preheat con dition ing time t o end before putt ing food in unles s recommended in the recipe.
13 Timed Cooking (on some models) Timed Cooking allows the oven to be set to turn on at a certain time of day , cook for a se t length of time, and/or shut of f automati cally . Dela y start should no t be used for food such as breads and cakes bec ause they may n ot bake properly .
14 T o Adju st Oven T emp era tur e Cal ibr ati on (o n model s with electronic clock/timer): 1. Press and hold CLOCK until the oven d isplay s hows th e curr ent calibr ation, for e xample, “00 ”, if n ot ye t adjus ted o r about 5 second s.
15 T o Broil: 1. Push i n and turn oven control kn ob to BROIL . On some models, se t the oven selec tor and oven t emperature contr ol knob to BR OIL. The OVEN ON ind icator l ight wi ll turn on. 2. After b roiling, tu r n the ove n con trol knob t o OFF .
16 Prepare Cooktop and S torage Drawer: ■ Remove plast ic items from the cookto p because t hey may melt. ■ Remove all items from the storage drawer . 17 OVEN DOOR EXTE RIOR ■ Glass clean er and paper to wels or non-ab rasive p lastic scrubb ing pad: Apply glass cleaner to soft cloth or sponge, not directly on panel. CONTROL P ANEL Do not use abra sive cleaners , steel-wool pads, gritty wash cloths or some paper towe ls.
