4 The A nti- Tip Bra cket The range will no t tip durin g normal use. However , the ra nge can tip if y ou apply too mu ch force or weight to th e open door wit hout t he anti-tip bracket fasten ed down properly . Tip Over Hazard A child or adult can tip the range and be killed.

6 COOKTOP USE Cooktop C ontrols IMPORT ANT : Y our co oktop is fact ory-set f or use wi th Natura l gas. If you wish to use LP gas, a n LP Gas Con version Kit is included with your ne w cooktop. Se e the instruct ions inclu ded with th e LP Gas Conve rsion Ki t for de tails on making th is conversion.
7 Gas tube opening: Gas mus t flow fr eely thr oughout th e gas tube opening for th e bur ner to light properly . Keep this area free of soil and do not all ow spills, food, clea ning agents or any ot her material to enter the gas tube opening. Protect it from spillovers by always usi ng a burner ca p.
8 ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL Disp lay When power is first sup plied to the applian ce, everyt hing on the displa y will l ight up for 1 to 2 seco nds, th en the t ime of da y and “ PF ” will appe ar . Press OFF/C ANCEL to clear “ PF ” from the displa y .
9 Cont rol Lock The Control Loc k shuts down the control pan el pads to preven t unintended use of the oven( s). When the control is locked, only the CLOCK, TIMER SET , TIMER OFF , an d OVEN LIGHT p ads will fu nction. The Con tr ol Lo ck is pre set u nlo cked , but can be lo cked.
10 BAKEWARE Hot air must be able t o circulate around food to cook evenly , so allow 2" (5 cm) of space around bakeware and oven wall s. Use the following c hart as a guide. Bakewa re The bakeware mat erial affects cooking re sults. Follow manufact urer ’ s recommendations an d use the bakeware size recommended in the recipe.
11 Pr eh eatin g Preheat temperatures are affected by vary ing factors suc h as room temperature and peak energy usage times. It is normal for the tempera ture showing on the dis play and the actual oven temperature to di ffer .
12 Ti me d C o ok i n g Timed Cooking allows the oven to b e set to turn on at a certain time of day , cook for a set length of time, and/or shut off automatical ly . Dela y start should n ot be used for food s such as breads and cakes bec ause they may n ot bake properly .
13 How the Cy cle W orks IMPORT ANT : The heating and coolin g of porcelain on steel in the oven may re sult in discoloring, loss of gloss, hai rline cracks and poppi ng soun ds. The Self-Cleani ng cycle uses v ery high temperatures, bur ning soil to a powdery as h.
14 CONTROL P ANEL Do not use ab rasive clea ners, steel- wool pads, gritty washclot hs or some paper towe ls. Damage may occur . Cleaning Method: ■ Glass cleaner an d soft cloth or sp onge: Apply glass cleaner to soft cloth or sp onge, not directly on panel.
15 Oven L ight( s) The oven light is a standard 15- watt applian ce bulb. It wil l come on when the oven door is op ened. The li ght will no t work during the Self -Cleaning cycl e (on some model s). On some models, when the oven door is closed , press OVEN LIGHT to turn the li ght on or off.
16 TROUBLESHOOTING T ry the solutions suggested here first in order to avoid th e cost of an unnecessary service call. Nothing will operate ■ Is the power sup ply cord unplugged?
