English E- 3 W elcome to the e xciting w orld of digital home enter tainment. The TSS-1 is a compact, b ut complete and advanced home theater sound system that tak es you to the e xciting world of digital surround sound enter tainment. Though some of the advanced f eatures of this system may not be f amiliar to you, they are easy to use.
E- 4 System configuration This system includes an amplifier unit, fiv e satellite speakers and a subw oof er . The three satellite speakers with a 3 m cord are used f or front speakers and a center speak er . The two satellite speakers with a 7 m cord are used f or surround speakers.
English E- 5 m Adjusting the front angle of the satellite speakers The front angle of the satellite speakers can be adjusted as shown below . 1 Loosen the screw on the bottom of the speak er stand. * Put the supplied nonskid pads at the f our corners on the bottom of the stand to obtain more stability .
E- 6 (See figure 1 on inside of the front cov er .) Caution: Plug in the amplifier unit and other equipment after all connections are completed. A : Connect three satellite speakers with a 3 m cord to the FRONT L, R and CENTER ter minals. Connect two satellite speakers with a 7 m cord to the SURR OUND L and R terminals.
English E- 7 7 SUBW OOFER level contr ol This control is used f or adjusting the lev el of sound outputted from the subwoof er . T urn this control clockwise to increase the le vel, and countercloc kwise to decrease the lev el. 8 MASTER V OLUME contr ol This control is used f or adjusting the whole v olume lev el of this system.
E- 8 This section e xplains how to turn on this system and select input sources. Before turning on this system, turn on the external audio unit to be used. 1 Turn the MASTER VOLUME control fully counterclockwise to decrease the volume to minimum. 2 Turn on this system.
