Model ZKT6050 User Manual Cooker.
2 The follo wing symb ols are used in this user manual: W ARNING! Important information concerning your personal safety and information on how to avoid damaging the appliance.
3 Important safety instructions These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety. Ensure that you understand them all before installing or using the appliance. Your safety is of paramount importance. If you are unsure about any of the meanings of these warnings please contact customer care.
4 • Do not use the appliance if the ceramic glass is damaged. If a fault or crack becomes visible, disconnect the appliance immediately from the electricity supply and contact your local service force centre. • During use the appliance becomes hot.

6 Before using t he ap pliance Rating plate • This is situated on the lower front frame of the appliance and can be seen upon opening the door. Alternatively the rating plate may also be found on the back or top of some models (where applicable). • The appliance must be protected by a suitably rated fuse or circuit breaker.
7 Switchin g th e oven on/off • The oven must be switched on before setting any cooking function or programme. When the on/off touch sensor is pressed and held, the cavity symbol will show i n the electronic display. • To switch off the oven, you can press and hold the on/off touch sensor at any time.
8 Grill and oven f urniture • The following items of grill and oven furniture have been supplied with the appliance. If you require replacements of any of the items listed below please contact your local service force centre.

10 To cancel the cou n tdown If you change your mind and want to cancel the 'Countdown', press the Selector Control button until the 'Countdown' indicator neon flashes then depress the decrease control until 00:00 shows in the display.
11 4. To set the length of cooking time, press the Selector Control button until the 'Cook Time' indicator neon is illuminated. Press the increase control until t he required length of cooking time is displayed. Press the decrease control if necessary.
12 Operation The ceramic hob W ARNING! Do not use the applian ce if the ceramic glass is damaged. If a fault or cr ack becomes visible, disconnect the applian ce immediately from the electr icity supply and contact your local service force centr e. 14 IMPORT ANT! Occasionally the heated areas may be seen to switch on and off when higher heat settings are being used. This is due to a safety device, which prevents the glass from overheating. Some switching on and off when cooking at high temperatures, e.
15 • If grilling with the door open the temperature will automatically set to setting - 4 -. If you wish to alter the set temperature, you may do so by pressing or until the required temperature setting is reached. • To switch off a function simply press the Function selector once.
16 Place the grill pan on the shelf so that the pan is positioned centrally beneath the grill. Ensure that the cut out on the underside of the handle bracket locates between the bars of the shelf and over the cross bar on the shelf. The top oven The top oven is the smaller of the two ovens.
17 To fit the main oven sh elves The shelf should be fitted with the straight rods uppermost on the frame and the forms towards the back of the oven. To remove a shelf slide the shelf towards you until the shelf stop is reached. Tilt shelf up at the front to that the stops clear the side supports.
18 • The cooling fan for the controls may operate after a time. • If an automatic programme has been set, the oven fan and light do not come on until cooking begins. • Some internal noise may be heard during operation. This is quite normal. W ARNING! Do not place cookware and cooking pots with rough bases e.
19 Functi on loc k When both the hob and oven ha ve a functio n selected, the ho b and oven can be locked whi lst both in use, to preve nt settings being changed. Press the chi ld safety selector once. 'L' will show in the hob di splay and ‘LOC ’ will show in t he oven display.

26 Hints a nd tips Hint s and tips when us ing the hob • Lift, rather th an slide sauc epans on a nd off the hob. This will reduce the risk of scratches and metal marks f rom sauce pans with alu minium bases. Metal ma rks can be easily cleaned off providing they a re not all owed to bu rn on.
27 • The material and finis h of the bakin g tray and dishes used affect base browning. Enam elware, dark, heavy or non-stick utensils increa se base browning. Shiny alumi nium or pol ished steel trays reflect the heat away and give less base browni ng.
28 Care and cleaning W ARNING! Before cleaning always allow the appliance to cool down before switching off at the electricity supply. Cleaning materi als • Before using any cleaning materials on your appliance, check that they are suitable and that their use is recommended by the manufacturer.
29 To rem ove burnt on foodst uff • We strongly recommend the use of a Ceramic Hob Scraper (incorporating a single edge razor blade) to remove spillage on the hob, in particular sugar solutions, which if not removed can cause permanent damage. • Make sure the ceramic glass is cool.
30 • The vitreous enamel main oven base and grill compartment base can be cleaned using normal oven cleaners with care. Ensure that the manufacturers instructions are followed and that all parts are well rinsed afterwards.
31 Top Oven: • Carefully push the trim towards the oven and lift off. • Hold the door glass securely in place with one hand before sliding the glass out with the other hand. 32 Replac ing an ove n light bu lb • The type of bulb required is a 300° C 25 watt small Edison Screw. W ARNING! Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply before replacing t he bulb. • Make sure the appliance is cool before replacing the bulb.
33 Troubleshoot ing Please carry out the following che cks on your appliance before calling a Service Engineer. It may be that the problem is a simple one which you can solve yourself without the expense of a service call.
34 PROBL EM POSSIBL E SOL UTIO N The oven light fails to illuminate. The oven light bulb may need replacing. If the Main Oven is set for automatic cooking the light will illuminate when the cook time begins. The oven fan is noisy. Check that the oven is level.
35 Installation in structio ns W ARNING! This appliance must be earthed • If your appliance has been damaged in transit, contact your supplier immediately. Do not attempt to install it. • Your appliance left the factory fully packaged to protect it from damage.
36 • We recommend you use a new length of 6mm 2 twin core earthed cable to ensure your safety. • Make connection by proceeding as follows: - L L N N N Note: Blanking plates not to be removed.
