3 Safety information In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully , including its hints and warnings.
4 ● This appliance is designed for domestic use. It must not be used for purposes other than those for which it was designed. ● Only wash fabrics which are designed to be machine washed. Follow the instructions on each garment label. ● Do not overload the appliance.

Start/Pause button ● The Start/Pause button allows you to start the selected programme; the corresponding green pilot light stops flashing. ● This button also interrupts a programme which is running, the corresponding green pilot light starts to flash.

10 Programme table Programme information With this programme it is possible to rinse and spin cotton garments which have been washed by hand. The machine performs 3 rinses, followed by a final spin at maximum speed. The spin speed can be reduced by depressing Spin button.
11 Spin Separate spin for hand washed garments and after programmes with Rinse Hold and Night Cycle option. Before selecting this programme the selector dial must be turned to Off. Y ou can choose the speed by means of the relevant button to adapt it to the fabrics to be spun.
12 W ashing hints Sorting the laundry Follow the wash code symbols on each garment label and the manufacturer ’s washing instructions. Sort the laundry as follows: whites, coloureds, synthetics, delicates, woollens. T emperatures Before loading the laundry Never wash whites and coloureds together .
13 Oil based paint: moisten with benzine stain remover , lay the garment on a soft cloth and dab the stain; treat several times. Dried grease stains: moisten with turpentine, lay the garment on a soft surface and dab the stain with the fingertips and a cotton cloth.
14 Quantity of detergent to be used The type and quantity of detergent will depend on the type of fabric, load size, degree of soiling and hardness of the water used.
15 Operating sequence 1. Load the laundry Open the door by carefully pulling the door handle outwards. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible. Close the door . 2. Measure out the detergent and the fabric softener Pull out the dispenser drawer until it stops.
16 Operating sequence 5. Select the spin speed or Night Cycle or Rinse Hold option Press the Spin button repeatedly to change the spin speed, if you want your laundry to be spun at a speed different from the one proposed by the appliance. The relevant light will light up.
17 Operating sequence The washing intensity will be decreased and the washing time will be reduced by few minutes. 7 Select the Easy Iron option By selecting this button the laundry is gently washed and spun to avoid any creasing. In this way ironing is easier .
18 W ashing programme phase icons By selecting the wash programme, the washing programme phase icons corresponding to the various phases making up the programme are shown in the bottom of the display . After the machine has started, only the running icon stays on.
19 10. Select the Start/Pause T o start the selected programme, press the Start/Pause button; the corresponding green pilot light stops flashing. The «Lock» light illuminates to indicate that the appliance starts operating and the door is locked. The “Lock” light indicates if the door can be opened: ● light on: the door cannot be opened.
20 IMPORT ANT! The door will be locked throughout the delay time. If you need to open the door , you must first set the washing machine to P AUSE by pressing the Start/Pause button, wait until the «Lock» pilot light goes off. After you have closed the door , press the Start/Pause button again.
21 IMPORT ANT! Y ou must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply , before you can carry out any cleaning or maintenance work. Descaling The water we use normally contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
22 ● Remove any objects from the pump impeller by rotating it. ● Refit the cap on the emergency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat. ● Screw the pump cover fully in. ● Close the pump door . IMPORT ANT! When the appliance is in use and depending on the programme selected there can be hot water in the pump.
23 Malfunction Possible Cause / Solution The washing machine does not start: The door has not been closed. E40 • Close the door firmly . The plug is not correctly inserted in the power socket. • Insert the plug into the power socket. There is no power at the socket.
24 Malfunction Possible Cause / Solution The machine fills then empties immediately: The end of the drain hose is too low . • Refer to relevant paragraph in «water drainage» section. The machine does not empty and/or does not spin: The drain hose is squashed or kinked.
25 The machine vibrates or is noisy: The transit bolts and packing have not been removed. • Check the correct installation of the appliance. The support feet have not been adjusted. • Check the correct levelling of the appliance. The laundry is not evenly distributed in the drum.

28 Installation instruction Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be removed before using the appliance. Y ou are advised to keep all transit devices so that they can be refitted if the machine ever has to be transported again.
29 W ater inlet An inlet hose is supplied and can been found inside the machine drum. Do not use the hose from your previous machine to connect to the water supply . 1. Open the porthole and extract the inlet hose. 2. Connect the hose with the angled connection to the machine.
30 The drain hose may be extended to a maximum of 4 metres. An additional drain hose and joining piece is available from your local Service Force Centre. The joining piece must have an internal diameter of 18mm. If your drain hose looks like this (see below) you do not require the «U» piece.
31 If you require any further advice please contact your local water authority . Electrical connection Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. W ARNING! This appliance must be earthed.
