5 How T o Assemble Y our P owerW ash Deluxe Y our PowerW ash Deluxe assembles in two quick steps. The only tool you will need to assemble your cleaner is a Phillips head screwdriver . Y our PowerW ash Deluxe is packa ged as two pri- mary components… the Lo wer Body and the Handle Assembly .
6 What Comes With Y our PowerW ash Deluxe Keep plenty of BISSELL Fibre Cleansing F ormula and Floor Cleaning Formula ™ on hand so you can c lean whenever it fits your schedule. Always use BISSELL deep cleaning formulas. Non-BISSELL cleaning solutions may harm your cleaner and void the warranty .
7 T o Fill The T ank-in-T ank NOTE: Make sure to add formula to the tank before filling it with water . Depress the Handle Release pedal to lay the machine handle down, out of the way . Lift the T ank-in-T ank handle. The handle locks the lid in place.
8 When It’ s T ime T o Empty The T ank-in-T ank NOTE: Remove the T ank-in-T ank, following steps 1. and 2. on page 7. Carry the T ank-in-T ank, like a bucket, to the sink. Remove tank lid. Pour out dirty water . After each use, remove and rinse the lint screen located on the tank lid.
How T o Clean Carpets Plan activities to give carpet time to dry . Remove easily moved furniture from the room (chairs, lamps, coffee tables, etc.). Vacuum thoroughly to pick up loose debris and pet hair before using the PowerWash Deluxe. Plan your cleaning route to leave an exit path.
10 Pre-T reating (Optional) Set the ReadyT ools Dial to TOOLS/PRETREA T . Plug the PowerWash Deluxe into a proper outlet and turn ON the Power switch. While pressing the Spray Release trigger , slowly make several passes over the area to be cleaned. Caution: Do not overwet.

13 Machine Preparation Set up machine following instructions in the The Basics section, pages 6-8. Be sure to thoroughly rinse out any remaining Fibre Cleansing Formula from the T ank-in-T ank to prevent slippery linoleum, vinyl, and tile floors. Use BISSELL Floor Cleansing Formula in the T ank-in-T ank.
14 Maintenance/Storage T urn Power Switch OFF . Unplug Power Cord from outlet and coil cord around Power Cord Quick Release. Remove and rinse tools, if used, in clean, running water . Dr y and replace. Coil Flex Hose through storage brackets. Remove T ank-in-T ank.
15 T urn off machine and unplug from wall outlet. Step on Handle Release pedal and recline handle on floor (see illustration). Remove the T ank-in-T ank.
16 T o Install The Replacement Pump & Brush Belts With the unit still on its side, loop one end of the replacement pump belt around the red pump pulley and the other end around the silver motor shaft (see illustration). Do not twist the replacement pump belt.
