Changing Ringing Tones 25 Adjusting the vo lume control of o ne device DOES NOT affect the volume control of the oth er devices. For example, lo wering the volu me of the speaker ha s no effect on the hand set volume. Cha nges you make to any device remain in effect if you reset the telephone to its de fault settings.

Activating Do N ot Disturb 29 T o mute the teleph one ring er: 1 Pr ess Featur e + 48 9 . The LCD displays: Ringer is now muted. 2 T o clear the display , lift the handset . The next time you receive an incomi ng call, th e ring er is m uted. 3 T o turn this feature off, press Featur e + 48 9 again.

The Display Pan el shows the pr ompt FWD Universal Number . 2 Enter the extensio n to which you want your calls forwa r de d, in t his case, 1001.
