Y1 -06-020 9G 4 SECTION 2 – PREPARING TO INSTALL UNPACKING T HE HydroFix ™ HR U The HydroFix™ HRU Kit is a universal k it in that i t is used for all Category I ACR EPIRBs. T he k it c omponents that are required to replace t he HR U in a particular m odel will var y wit h t he E PIRB brack et you are servicing.

Y1 -06-020 9G 6 SECTION 3 – HOW TO DETERMINE HRU EXPIR ATION DATE The ACR HydroFix ™ HR U is a replace able part and, as such, has dating associated with it. T he HRU must be replac ed tw o (2) years from the install date or f our ( 4) years f rom t he d ate of man ufacture, whichev er is less.
Y1 -06-020 9G 7 SECTION 4 – INST ALLING THE HRU IN A SeaS helter 3 ™ BRACKET The following ACR EPIRBs are com patible with the Se aShelter 3 ™ (ACR P/N 9501): GlobalFix™ iPRO, or m odels RLB -.
Y1 -06-020 9G 8 11.) Reinst all the beacon with the lanyard facing toward the bac k of the bracket. 12.) Place the brack et top co ver on to p of the bottom cover . 13.) Mak e sure the bottom hinge and th e top handle are secure ly connected. 14.) Place HRU exp iration lab el (K) on th e outside of y our bracket in a visible location.
Y1 -06-020 9G 9 SECTION 5 – INST ALLING THE HRU IN A SeaS helter 2 ™ BRACKET The following ACR EPIRBs are com patible with the SeaShelter 2 ™ (AC R P/N 943 5/9455): GlobalFix ™ 40 6 RapidFix .
