6 3 Setup and Adjustment IM PORT AN T : This uni t is shippe d without g asoline or oil in th e engine. Fill up g asoline an d oil as instruc ted in the a ccompanying en gine manua l BEFORE op erat- ing your mower. 1 . Remove any packing materi al which may be bet ween upper an d lower handles.
7 5. Follow steps be low to assemble th e grass catch er (i f needed ). Make cer tain bag is turn ed right sid e out before ass embling (war ning label will b e on the outsi de) . a. Place bag over frame so th a t its b lack plasti c side is at the bot tom.
8 4 Operating Y our Lawn Mo wer Blade Control The blad e control is at tached to the u pper handle of the mower . D epress and squ eez e it agains t the upper handl e to operate the unit. Re lease it to stop eng ine and blade. W ARN ING : T his blade c ontrol is a saf ety device .
9 W ARN ING : I f you strike a foreig n object , stop th e engine. R emove wire from th e spark p lug, thoro ughly inspe ct mower for any dama ge, and re pair dam age befo re rest artin g and op erating . Ext ensive vibrat ion of mower during ope ration is a n indicatio n of damag e.
10 5 Maintaining Y our Lawn Mo wer W ARNING Alwa ys stop engi ne, disconnect spark plug, and grou nd against eng ine before per f orming and type of maint enance on the mower . IM PORT AN T : Do n ot use a pressure washer or g arden hose to cl ean your unit.
