Im prop er Set up D O NOT plug in the AC po wer cord yet . 1 Remove t he pac king tape f rom t he out s i de o f the machine.
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 5 2 Inst alling th e toner cart ridges 1 Unpack the toner cartridges and rock each toner cartridge from side t o side 5 to 6 times. 2 Pull off the prot ective cover. 3 Hold the handle of the t oner cartridge a nd slide it into the drum uni t.
Set ti ng Up th e Machi ne 6 STE P 1 3 Loa d pape r in t he pap er tray 1 Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine. 2 While pressing the green paper-guide release lever ( 1), slide the paper guides to fit the paper size. Make sure that the gu ides are firmly in the sl ots .
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 7 4 Rel ease the Scanner Lock 1 Push the lever (1) in the direc ti o n shown to unlock the scanner. (The gray scanner lock lever is lo cated at the back le ft side, under the do cumen t cover (2) .) 5 Ins t all t he powe r cord 1 Make su r e that the machine’s power switch is off.
