3. Select the language you want then follo w the instructions on the screen. Step 2 Initial Setup 1. Click the Initial Setup button. 2. Y ou can vie w the Initial Setup operations in the video mo vie. 3. Click the interf ace cab le you are going to use Parallel, USB or Network.

Step 3 Print a test page 1. Make sure that the po wer switch is of f. Connect the A C powe r cord to the printer . 2. Plug the A C powe r cord into an A C outlet. T urn on the powe r switch. 3. After the printer has warmed up, the Read y LED stops blinking and stays lit.
Step 5 Install the printer driver from flopp y disk 1. T urn on your PC po wer . If the " Add Ne w Har dwar e W izar d " windo w appears, click the Cancel button. 2. Insert the floppy disk into the flopp y disk dri ve. (For W indows ® 3.1x users, please follo w the instructions on the disk label.
For Windows ® users with USB only (Windows ® 98) The steps in this section are essential for USB interf ace cable users. Step 1 to 3 Follo w the CD-R OM instructions at the be ginning of these instructions Step 4 Install the USB driver 1. Make sure the printer po wer switch is on.
4. Check " Sear ch for the best driver for your de vice " and click the Next b utton. 5. Check " CD-R OM drive " and click the Next b utton. 6. Click the Next b utton. The USB dri ver will be installed. 7. Follo w the instructions on the screen.

T roubleshooting Prob lem Recommendation All the LEDs are of f • Check if the printe r is in sleep mode. - Press the control panel b utton. • Check that t he po wer plug is connected correctly . • Check that t he printer is tu rned on.
