6 O F F O N PREP ARING THE BREWER FOR USE NOTE - THE BREWER IS NOT READ Y TO PLUG IN . Do NOT plug in until Step #3. Raise the hinged fl ip-lid. NOTE: The post protr uding from the screen is con- nected to a stopper which controls the fl ow of water into the tank.

8 COFFEE FUNDAMENT ALS Brewing delicious coffee is similar to cooking any favorite food. Both require a good recipe. Proper coffee making needs quality equipment to precisely control water temperature, volume, and br ew time. The BUNN ® coffee brewer assures consistency in y our recipe by controlling all of these elements.
9 ROUTINE CLEANING Rinsing the brew funnel and decanter after each use is the only routine cleaning required. Occasionally , wipe the outside of the brewer including the area above the funnel with a damp c loth. (The br ew funnel and decanter are top-rac k dishwasher saf e.
10 7) Grasp the back of the bre wer and quickly tur n it upside down over a sink as shown. Most of the water in the tank will fl ow from the spra yhead tube opening. Some water may fl ow from the area around the top lid. Continue tipping the brew er until the fl ow stops.
