4 Incognito table-t op k eypad Thank you for purchasing this Cambridge Audio Incognito product. Incognito is a cost-effective, modular based multi-room system using standard Cat-5/5e or Cat-6 cable to distribute hi-fi quality sound and video around a home.
BK10 T able-t op k e ypad Incognito table-t op k eypad 5 The BK1 0 can be used in two types of configurations: 1. As an A-BUS Ready / Incognit o R eady k eypad attached directly t o the back of an amplifier / receiv er . 2. In a full A -BUS or Incognit o Multi-R oom system attached t o a hub.
In this configuration the ke ypad is connected directly t o the amplifier/receiver . A pow er supply unit (Incognit o PS5) is also required t o pow er the one or tw o k e ypads.
BK10 T able-t op k e ypad Incognito table-t op k eypad 7 The BK1 0 comes with 10 metres of Cat5 connection cable, but an Incognit o CP20 cable pack (with 20 metres of cable, 2 x 3.5-3.5 connection cables and a punch-down/wire stripper t ool) can be pur chased separat ely .
Speaker cable Speaker cable PS10 AH10 Cat-5/5e cable BK10 KP10 EU The BK1 0 ke ypad can also be used as par t of a full Incognito syst em, where it is plugged into an Incognit o hub (AH1 0), perhaps with other Incognito accessories such as a video switching unit (VH1 0) or local input module (LM1 0) fitt ed.
BK10 rear Note: When using a BK1 0 ke ypad with an AH1 0 hub, an Incognito PS1 0 power supply unit MUS T be used. Please consult the AH10 Incognito Multi-Room Installation Guide for full details of the various options available for the full Incognito system.
A v oid placing the k eypad where there is line of sight t o another k eypad. In such situations both k e ypads ma y pick up the same commands fr om a remot e contr ol and it will be dif ficult to contr ol each zone independently . A v oid placing the BK1 0 where there is line of sight t o the sour ce equipment f or the syst em.
REAR P ANEL CONNECTIONS Speaker output Connect to a pair of speak ers with two runs of standard high-q uality speak er cable. Speak ers of at least 88 dB SPL f or 1W @ 1 metre ef ficiency should be used with the BK1 0. Speakers fr om 4–8 ohms can be used.
The six LEDs indicat e the volume le vel of the BK1 0. The LEDs also also displa y the sour ce selected when the source is changed and can also show the status of some o ther functions.

OPERA TING INSTR UCTIONS Volume adjustment V olume is adjusted using the v olume up and volume do wn butt ons on the k e ypad or remot e; this is indicated on the k eypad b y the int ensity of the blue LED lights, there are f our le vels of int ensity per LED.
Continuing to hold bo th butt ons will light the f our th LED indicating that Balance adjust mode has been activat ed. In this mode pressing the V olume up/down k e ys will adjust the sound lev el between the left and right speakers. Continuing to hold bo th butt ons will light the fif th LED indicating that Fader adjust mode has been activat ed.
Note: This f eature is only a vailable if the BK1 0 is par t of a full Incognito multi- r oom system with one or tw o Local Input Modules (LM1 0) fitted. The local source selection mode will need t o be activ ated t o configure the BK1 0 correctly . This mode is only a vailable when the Mode Switch is set t o “ AH1 0” mode.
Pressing the Select lef t or right buttons on the k e ypad allows y ou to r otate thr ough all six sour ces as default. Ho we ver , it is possible to allo w the addition of one or two local sour ces b y accessing Local source selection mode .
