Try Scanning 8 3 Click the Acquire icon or click the [File] menu and select [Acquire]. ScanGear CS will start. If an error message appears, click the [File] menu, choose [Select Source], s elect your scanner model name and click the [Select] button. Try Scanning 9 7 Click [Scan]. The final scan will start. 8 Click or (close box) in the ScanGear CS window to close it. The scanned image will appea r in the PhotoStudio window.
Using the Scanner Buttons 10 Using the Scanner Buttons You can use the four conven ient buttons on the scanner’ s front pan el to scan and pe rform rela ted tasks easily with a single touch of the button. Place an item on the document glass of the scanner before pressing a button.
Scanning Film 11 Scanning Film This scanner can scan 35 mm f ilm strips one frame at a time. Pr eparing to Scan Film Use the following procedures to place the Film Adapte r Unit and the Film Guide on the document glass to scan film. 1 Attach the cable for the Film A dapter Unit to the F AU connector on the scanner’ s back panel.
Scanning Film 12 2 Gently close the document cover . 3 Start ArcSoft PhotoStudio. Select [Start] , [Programs] or [All Programs], [Ar cSoft PhotoS tudio] and [Ph otoStudio 5]. Double-click the [Applications (Mac OS 9)] and [Photo Studio] folder s and the [PhotoStudio] icon.
Scanning Film 13 7 Open the document cover and remove the Film Adapter Unit. To continue scanning your f ilm, follow the Scanning Film steps. Scanning Film The following steps explain how to scan films with ArcS oft PhotoStudio and ScanGear CS. 1 Place the film in the Film Guide.
Scanning Film 14 5 Start ScanGear CS. Click the Acquire icon or click th e [File] m enu and select [Acqu ire]. If an error message appears, click the [File ] me nu, choose [Sele ct Source], se lect your scanner model name and click the [Select] button .
Scanning Film 15 11 Save the scanned image. Click the [File] menu and select [Save As]. Select the folder where you wish to store the im age file, enter a file name, select a file type (JPG forma t is recommended) and click [Save].
